I know this wouldnt happen, but what if they could get Bledsoe for Chandler in a sign-and-trade, with obviously draft picks or something. That would be pretty crazy

The Suns don't want or need SFs. They just traded away 2 of them for chump change to clear roster & cap space. And Bledsoe is not going anywhere.

Well yes, but Wes and Parsons had serious rehabs, a 37 year old Dirk. I heard Wes' is hard to comeback from. I just thought there wasnt going to be a better situation then there was in LAC.
Griffin-Paul-Reddick-Stephenson now...then a veteran Pierce. They had a chance this year, Mavs do too but there are more questions.

Bench was still weak. Also did not help that he and chris paul did not really get along from what I heard

Yeah that was probably the main factor, Paul and him. They did get Pierce and Stephenson. If they can keep some other pieces they could have a good bench. Except now other than Blake their bigs are not any good, and no depth behind them.
They need bigs.

Brain fart. That trade makes even less sense.

Well they do need to clear more cap space, if I am correct. They will probably just use Tucker/Morris to do that though. Bledsoe is their starting SG/PG.

Wow that's crazy.

And FTR he's not going to be the man in Dallas either. Cuban probably sold him on BS

And he shouldn't be "the man" even after Dirk retires, that spot should be given to someone who can score without the use of lob dunks....

Exactly. I'm not sure if this was a smart move for DeAndre for 2 reasons

1) He will never be the man unless he develops a constant back to the basket game

2) He's really going to miss Christopher Paul. He's one of those guys who need a good PG

Bledsoe was in on the pitch to LA along with Knight & Chandler. He is not going anywhere. They don't need to clear a whole lot $$$.

LA has a choice to make:

Spurs - Maybe 1-2 years with Duncan, Manu, & Parker, along with Leonard. High probability of playing in the finals immediately & then a likely rebuild in years 3+.

Suns - A young team with the core in place for the next 4 seasons. Likely a deep playoff run team with him on board, that could compete the entire length of his contract.

He had a perfect fit in LA, they were a title contender and were gonna pay him a crazy amount of money. Going to Dallas he's on a team that could be a 7-8 seed but probably won't contend. He must have really had a problem with CP3 or someone else on that team.

DJ was offended that none of the Clippers players were in the Clippers pitch to him.

Why in the world did you need players who you played with in the pitch? Players only join in on a pitch if they're trying to convince a player to leave a team, not to convince a teammate to re-sign

So now they have two starting SF's and Crawford still. They can get a center, but he wont be anything close to DeAndre. I still dont understand why he left

He hates Chris Paul and he didn't want to be a 5th or 6th option.

Listen, DeAndre is gonna need a pass first pg to set him up.

His game didn't take off until he started playing with CP3 and Doc became his champion.

But, he is a very good Center.

Do I think he should have gotten more touches?

No.

But, he is well within his right to think otherwise.

I wish him luck.

Dirk won't be there to much longer.

So, it will be his and Parson's Team, which is what he wanted.

Why would a team that is resigning a player need to 'pitch' that player their team? I don't get it.
