BUT, after THIS year what can you add?
That is the million dollar question?
Everyone else WILL add.
This next season is HUGE for you guys.
And forget taxes.
Lets talk draft picks and young assets.
You'll have none to deal with.
I thought them aquiring Stephenson was huge until it was apparent they would be losing DJ.Doc the GM is the worst.
I was one of the few who blasted that Stephenson for Barnes/Hawes deal.
It made no sense whatsoever unless DOC was 100% certain without any doubts that Jordan was returning.
Now if Jordan leaves, that trade looks horrendous.
..........
But as long as the media thinks Doc the coach is on par with Pat Riley, he will keep his GM duties.
Because he's a great player.
Take the playing part out of the equation and who knows how he would be?
Personally, I feel once he steps away from the game that he will be involved in so many other ventures that he won't want to put his time into anything that extends the length of NBA seasons.
Lakers are officially out of the LA mix. LA was not impressed again. What is going on over there.

Looks like its between Spurs and winning or Suns and money with a chance of winning.
If they pick up some other guys, the only thing they will need to add is role players--guys with limited roles. The key guys are locked. Do you not understand lol
James, TT, Love, Kyrie, Shump, Moz (a possiblity). All those guys are young except Lebron

so no Love, Alridge, Monroe, Gasol, ----down to DeAndre Jordan and Robin Lopez.....though it seems Lopez is going to the Knicks and DeAndre is going to the Mavs or staying at the Clips....Lakers already lost Ed Davis aswell.....I wonder what their next move is.
Trying to find a way to stay out of the bottom 3 so they don't also lose next years pick.
They are in for 1 rough year it appears.
seriously- when every single team in the league has cap room next summer and are fighting over a handful of guys the Cavs will have their team.If they pick up some other guys, the only thing they will need to add is role players--guys with limited roles. Well that's what Doc gets. I don't feel sorry for him in the least. But, there's still a chance DJ stays...albeit a small chance but still a chance.Spencer Hawes can actually play center.
His isnt going to be the second coming of Wilt Chamberlain, but he is a guy who can get you 12/7.
That made no sense to trade him away without a new deal from DeAndre Jordan.
Lol at Daj though

The cavs will have what team? The same team that was "hurt" and couldn't win? Would you bet that Kyrie and Love can stay healthy and play 100 games next season (assuming they go deep in the playoffs)? And what "role players" do you anticipate them signing when they already have over $200 mil tied up in 3 guys, which doesn't even include their best player?seriously- when every single team in the league has cap room next summer and are fighting over a handful of guys the Cavs will have their team.
There are always ways of making things work too- like the Haywood contract this summer to add a piece- Varejao has the exact same provision his 3rd year being completely unguaranteed so that offseason they have set themselves up to have a way to make a move. Especiallysince the only one o f these contracts that would seem not to have value going forward is Thompsons- they can make switches if they need to--- but really- I think this is freaking perfect....San Antoinio had 3 guys grow together for years and never signed a major free agent- they just added pieces around---- the Cavs already have 2 of those pieces in shumpert andthompson.....
I mean, shit- Griffin has just laid the ground work for continuity and a ton of talent to be here and grow toeghet. Its the IDEAL situation.
Why? You act like he left a title contender. Dallas is a solid team and got better with the addition of DJ & Wes. It's not like he went from the Clippers to the Sixers

The Mavs could also end up Markieff Morris or PJ Tucker in a sign & trade for Chandler if LA signs with the Suns. If that happens, chances are that the Mavs end up with a better record than the Clips.
