I also gave Big 10 credit for Michigan St's 1965 title. But not for their 1952 title because Michigan St was INDEPENDENT!!!!!

I didn't see that you "gave credit" for Illinois. Or does the NCAA got it wrong there too?

I voted for Ohio State because of these comparisons:

National Championships:
Ohio State - 6
Nebraska - 5

All-time win %:
Ohio State - .720
Nebraska - .701

Losing Seasons(since 1900):
Ohio State - 9
Nebraska - 21

10+ win seasons(since 1900):
Ohio State - 23
Nebraska - 28

Since 1900 the better program per decade:
Ohio State: 1930's, 1940's, 1950's, 1960's, 2000's and 2010's - 6 decades
Nebraska: 1900's, 1910's, 1920's, 1970's, 1980's, and 1990's - 6 decades

The thing that really gives Ohio State the edge for me is that they have been slightly more consistent, and do have one more National Championship. Also, the thing that really kills Nebraska is that they went through a two decade period(1941 - 1961), of not only being bad, they were arguably one of the worst power conference teams over that two decade stretch. Ohio State has had a bad year here and there, but they have never been quite that bad for that prolonged of a stretch.

With that said, it's really close, but I give the slight edge to Ohio State for better program.

Winsipedia pretty much spells it out. Out of the 12 metrics, Ohio State wins 8. Not only that, but Ohio State is 3-1 all-time against Nebraska, and if not for a Miller injury, we're easily unbeaten.

I'd say we do but not close to the level of the husker fans. Maybe 10 buckeyes that are regs here? Neb board has upwards of 25 (crude estimates).
