Based on any rule I've read that would be impossible, for him to have actual options, maybe of a misinterpretation of the same thing I said?

** Once a player has been placed on a team's 40-man roster, a team has 3 option years on that player. On option year is used anytime a player spends 20 days on a ML or minor league roster and is on the 40 man roster.

** Veterans' consent - If a player has 5 years of major-league service (Harrison has 6), he may not be assigned to a minor-league team without his consent.

So at this rate, options or not, it would be irrelevant.

You guys are getting into the into the nuisances of "he's been down, second option, was-on-the-40-man, once he's here for his second stent, then we can't send him down without exposing him, etc"

Baseball is getting harder and harder for me to understand in regards to assembling a roster.

Its the only reason worth discussing, so as to hash out some of these overly complicated roster nuances

Well, I guess most of us saw this coming but it sucks it's happening against 2 of the worst teams in the AL. Even worse at the hands of the A's.

No idea why they rushed Beltre back either if he is still in some pain, let him rest longer. It's not like they were doing horrible without him.
