If they'll take Choo, Im all in

If the Phillies were stupid enough to take Choo in a deal for Hamels (which, as long as Ruinin' Tomorrow, Jr. is running the show there, is a possibility), I would personally pay for Choo's one-way plane ticket to Philly. First class even.

And I say this now as one of the people who was originally very on board with us signing him. I still can't believe he's been as bad as he has.

I will pay for EA's ticket as well, and they can take the contracts of both. Rangers can take on all of Hamels contract and we will call it square.

I didn't want him and then lied to myself saying it would be okay afterwards...I didn't hate the signing, but I didn't want him like I didn't want Ellsbury or Beltran...it sucks, but it's one of those you try and tell yourself it will work out knowing full well it's gonna be Vernon Wells level awful.

They were wondering on the post game show if Chi Chi's struggles had anything to do with him facing a team for the second time for the first time. That does make sense if you think about it. I just think sometimes guys have bad outings. Even the best of them. It is normal. It is also normal for younger guys to struggle more than they will later on after getting more experience.

Both Chi Chi and Joey will go through struggles at times until they get fully acclimated to the big leagues. Almost every player does. Better they do that this year than later on when we are a true contender. These struggles are normal and necessary.

I think Joey only has about a week left w/ the club... before he's sent to AAA like originally planned.

Nope. Unless they want to do a player for player swap. (like Kinsler for Fielder)

Would do Elvis for Hamels straight up.

Amaro might actually consider that deal.

Harrison is mid 80's with his fastball. The broadcasters are saying he's just not the same. He looks stiff and mechanics are erratic. He gave up 3 in the 2nd, but should've been out of the inning without giving up any. A GB hit a rock or something and shot right over the 2B's head. He gave up 2 more after it

Sounds like he has a lot of work to do before ever making it back into the starting rotation for the Rangers. We cannot give a person a spot based on what they did a couple of years ago. Thanks for the update.

Concerned about Harry. A few more starts and JD will be forced to make a decision. Seems Harry's only options are to retire or a life in AAA if he's not or ever will be MLB ready.

I see no reason for Harry to be in the major league rotation right now.

Can only be in AAA until his rehab stint is over, I think they can apply for extensions if he's not there, but eventually that time will run out

Well Harrison's ball to strike ration was not good into the 3rd inning. Something like 36 strikes to 27 balls. But he has now completed 6 innings, still given up the 3 runs and thrown 97 pitches with strikes to balls being 59-38.

I guess they could always put Harrison back on the DL and start his rehab time all over again in a few weeks. That is, if his problems in the early innings today were due to physical problems.

I just think he hasn't pitched competitively in so long that his mechanics are all out of whack. It's going to take him a while to find it again, if he ever does.
