Did the idiot say who else Blatt was supposed to play since as Wiggy pointed out, JR had a shit game. Also, Delly decided that last night would be a good time to remind everyone why he doesn't start.
I do think they could of managed his Mins better but I agree their wasn't many options.

Believe what you want. That's all after the fact...and people just looking for/following hearsay.

1. I can tell you proof positive that I was with Mike the NIGHT he was amnestied (documented back on CBS). It was no surprise. Everyone knew, nobody cared. ONLY think Mike cared about was the Cavs NOT claiming him off of waivers because 1. He did not want to live in Cleveland. 2. He wanted to double dip as far as getting paid.
If he's claimed off waivers, the Heat get to deduct what the Cavs would have paid him.

He was on the phone telling his people to put out a story that he was going to have back surgery when he was perfectly fine.
He wanted to go back to Memphis, just like I said..despite all these people you are now quoting saying he was going to Ok City.
Go back and read it.

2. Lebatard..on air a few months ago (I HEARD IT), said exactly what I'm saying.
That James was approached about it..and didn't care.

Maybe they have an archive of the show..I don't know.

Dan Le Batard: Trust is the reason LeBron James covets playing in Miami more than anywhere else | Miami Herald Miami Herald

Here is an article written by LeBatard. In it he says LeBron James got his feelings hurt when Miller was amnestied.

Well I hope Irving is ok. I hate to see that. Trust me after watching D rose get hurt 3 times as a fan I know it sucks. I still play the What IF game with Rose. LBj would had some battles with Rose and the Bulls. Maybe we would beat him once already. WHo knows. it was nice to see him come back and look good in the playoffs. This Bulls team will be known for the What If team in the east during this Era.

You happy about the Hoiberg hiring?

Well, the only time this current Cavs team played GS at full strength this year the Cavs won by double digits.

Last night, without Love at all and with Kyrie still being bothered by tendonitis, we controlled the game in regulation and were about an inch away on Shump's shot from winning on the road at the toughest place to play in the NBA, so it's a pretty easy conclusion to come to when you look at the play on the court.
I disagree because after the bad 1st half by GS u saw them start picking apart Cavs D and having Love might hurt more then Help because of his D and Thompson being on the bench more. So I don't agree with your statement. its one of those IFs games and Cavs has shown they look better with out Love.

My season long mantra...

Familiar story..?
James wingman crippled with bad knees
James needing to play hero ball and try to win by himself
The Heat had a much older roster every season then what the Cavs have, but never were this beat up.

So..how was that bench last night?
You know, where just 1 more point in regualtion would have gotten you a win in the biggest game of the season.

Delly 0 points -13 +/- in 9 minutes
Jones 0 points -11 +/- in 17 minutes
JR 9 points on 3-13 shooting -8 +/1 in 34 minutes

Then:

Shump 6 points in 34 minutes
Tristan 2 points in 47 minutes , although he did have 15 rebounds..but still

And, are you still banking on the Miller game 'where he hits 7 3's to earn his annual salary'?

Pahahahahahahahahahahaahahahaaha

I think there is a real possibility of Cleveland losing this series and LeBron getting finals MVP.

Won't happen. Lebron posted better stats than Kawhi Leonard last season, and Kawhi still got the MVP. Curry will get his which will earn him the MVP.

For probably 80% of the game, I thought Cleveland was going to win. I'll bet a lot of you unbiased watchers thought so too. Golden State pulled it out in the end, but I think they were lucky to escape with the win. This series could have been real interesting with Irving near 90% or so, but with him hurt I do think that Golden State will go on and win this thing. Golden State is a good team, but they have been very fortunate and somewhat lucky this postseason both on the injury front and the competition front (no San Antonio or Clippers to beat). This is probably Golden State's year.

When we had Love, we won by double digits against GS, so I don't think that part makes much sense.

It's also not like he's a slouch on the boards; he averaged double digits for the season. Plus, getting 2 points from Thompson hurts a LOT more when you don't have Love there helping pick up the post scoring slack. Also, being able to rest Thompson from time to time helps a lot towards the end of the game. It isn't like Love's D really matters much in this series; the Warriors don't rely on post scoring. It's never a bad thing to have a guy like Love that can be a part of your rotation, especially against a team like GS.

It's a damn shame Kyrie is looking as bad as he did after the game on crutches. As I suspected, when he was (somewhat) healthy, we were in for a seriously amazing series. Without him, I don't know that Cleveland has much of a chance. We'd need Smith/Shump/Delly to step up like they never have before.
I'm not sure you can say a player is 'healthy' because he takes a cortizone shot to numb the pain. Clearly he had no pain pressure points during the game which I believe caused him to over work his knee rulsting in something not good happening. Also, what coach in their right mind plays Kyrie for 44 minutes in game ONE???? I could see if it were game seven & all the marbles were on the table...but game one?? That was a rookie move.

This part...holy shit. They showed a graphic last night during OT that every team GS has played this year in the playoffs has had their starting PG get hurt and miss time.

I am happy, I rather have Kerr both X Bulls players. We needed a change. I appreciate Thibs bringing us back and helping this team but it was time to move on. He couldn't get us over the hump and his non changes in the playoffs killed this team. Hoiberg scheme is an NBA scheme and an up tempo offense that should fit this team well. GS were good but they needed a change and look what happen to them. They went to that next level. Im not saying that will happen to the Bulls but I think players are going to like the change. He is a players coach and he also played in the NBA so that should help him.

Im excited for next year. I do think we need to make some changes. Either trade Noah or Gibson because we need to find a starting SF. Dunleavy needs to be a bench player.

That's a true measuring stick?
A TNT Thursday night game when the Cavs were just starting to click..and James approached it like it was a playoff game.
Warriors were cruising right along and in the middle of an extended cross country trip.
James took it so seriously that he did not even play the next night and the Cavs lost to I believe the Pacers.

Cavs controlled the 1st qtr..not the game.
It was a dogfight for 3 qtrs which ended in a draw (plus a Cavs injury).
Overtime was controlled by the Warriors, which lead to a win, which is all that really matters.

Keep bringing up Love and Kyrie injuries.
They will be a reoccurring theme as the years go by.
James could and should have picked more durable pieces, if injury worries were why he left Miami.

I think Love is gone. Probably not this year, but next. Love is young, will want max money. I can see the Cavs balking at that. I can also see the Lakers opening up the check book.

Not sure why this Love to the Lakers stuff still comes up (it even came up again on Dan Patrick this morning). Assuming Randle turns out to be as good as people think he will be, what position is Love going to play?

This is why I put the (somewhat) in there. If that's what they have to do for the series, I guess that's up to Kyrie. Surgeons can work miracles these days, and Kyrie is still very young, so it's not something he can't come back from.

I agree with the 44 minutes part, you're right there. I think he should've been at about 35, but when he's showing minimal signs of being slowed down, and he's playing great, it's hard to take him out.

guess i should ask the Heat fans this question(though i think i pretty much know the answer), does this go down as an "unfortunate error in judgement" by LeBron in making the choice to return to Cleveland...?

also, i agree with you. in all likelihood we saw the Cavs best shot last night and they came up short. so what does this say about the Eastern conference in general...?

That it's just as most of us have been saying. The Cavs pretty much had an easy road to this point and ran into a brick wall last night...Even when he went off and got his 44 points the Dubs never game up or threw in the towel. LBJ probably thought he could punk the boys from the Bay...i wonder what he thinks now. Tehe

...you do realize Kevin Love didn't have durability issues and his shoulder injury was a freak injury that was the result of a dirty play, right?

Like I said, when the Cavs are fully healthy, they proved to be better. When they had 2/3 of the Big 3 available on the road at GS, they did everything but win and should've won in regulation. Say what you want, but the Cavs were the better team in regulation. Even the non-biased folks are saying Golden State was fortunate that game went to OT.

You just answered your own question... it's the assumption on Randle. Randle comes out and balls out of control and puts up good numbers, then I doubt the Lakers chase him. But until the Lakers can show an effective PF on their roster the rumor of Love going going back back to Cali Cali, is going to be there.

Yeah it seems like they have the athletes to play Hoiberg's style. If Rose can just be somewhat durable, they're going to be a title contender each year.

It seems like Thibs was a good coach but might be best used as an assistant.

No because from watching GS this year in the playoffs they some times start out slow. I knew they would play better in the 2nd half and I stated that Cavs would slow down because it would be tough to keep up with the fast pace.
