I think Odor sealed his (immediate future) fate with that AB. But hey - a solid win. Feliz looked pretty good in the 9th.

Yep. That was really bad. I love the kid, but he's in a rut he's not going to fix in MLB.

Yeah, I did not get that PH. Just because he is a LH bat means nothing with how he has been going and a RH pitcher against a RH hitter is not usually that big of a deal.

Thompson pitched a great game tonight and Chi Chi was equally as bad as Thompson was great. Thompson goes 7 innings giving up no runs, 1 walk, 5 hits and he strikes out 12. Joey Gallo went 2 for 2, but still no home runs.

I took it as more of an opportunity to build confidence/show what he can do. Didn't work out.

I posted JT's line earlier. I've been thinking he might be the first one we call up when we need a SP.

Gallo also had 2 BB's. The HR's will come. I'm not worried about that.

We see him boot the easy ones, and then Elvis makes that play to start the DP tonight. I just don't understand how he cant be that focused all the time

I thought of that as well. Usually I am not for trying to build someone's confidence at the expense of the team but in this case it is not as big a deal since we are so bad right now.

Would like to see how he does at AAA and Chi Chi and LuJac both did well at Frisco but not so much at RR.

After Holland went down, and we already knew Darvish was gone, if someone would have wanted to bet you that 25 games into the season, the brightest spot on our team was our starting pitching, would you have bet a nice steak dinner on it?

I sure as hell would have.

I could take a dump on the mound and Mike Maddux could get a quality start out of it. The dude is a fantastic coach.

Rangers GM Daniels says results have to start changing | FOX Sports

While the Rangers have struggled they still do have players who would draw interest as the trade deadline approaches. Daniels said it's too soon for the Rangers to start thinking of themselves as sellers.

"We're nowhere close to that point," he said. "We're in the first week in May and there's lot of time between now and when those decisions have to be made. We're not thinking along those lines at all.

It isn't too soon at all. There is a lot of time between now and then, but there isn't enough talent to keep us from being in the position to be sellers.

Bennie....what did you think he was gonna say? Even with all candor, what could he say, other than what he did say?

He knows what you know, and that is, for the immediate future, we're screwed. And any and all options are on the table, although we can't admit to it today.
