Not trying to troll or anything, but I'm still wondering why they let Nick Foles go for Bradford....

I think the rams got the better deal on that, but Foles will probably end up a statistic on the Rams... that kid is going to get used to seeing the St Louis skyline and see it often.
I like Foles a lot. He is a proven winner and a natural leader. If the Rams improve the O line Foles will have a solid
year. Bradford may go down with an injury by mid season. They will use Sanchez and we will be reduced to mediocrity. I see an 8-8 season coming up for the Eagles.

NFC West has the 9ers and the Seahawks who are big bruisers....
NFC East has the Boys, Giants, Skins, and Eagles.... the skins and the giants are struggling for the most part on offense more than D.... IDK, just my observation...but more times than not the NFC East has 4 teams going after the division title.... you have never seen that in the NFC West
I use to call the NFC East- the black and blue division, pretty much like what you were mentioning. I just have not felt like that has not been the case the last 2-3 years. Now the AFC North is a bruiser division imo.

AFC North is never a picnic.....
Ravens are always a huge threat, and even on down season when the Steelers and Ravens meet there is always blood shed
Cincy is hit or miss, but when they are on they are good
Cleveland is Cleveland, when they figure out which of the 22 quarterbacks they have had over the last ten years will be the starter, they may get to the top.

This is where I see Philly getting hurt big time... Sanchez is just another arm chair QB

Cleveland has a killer for a defense. I think this may be the year where they figure it out. If Manziel grows up and acts like a mature adult, the Brownies will be in good shape. My in-laws will finally be happy campers. They live in an area where the population is split 50/50 Stillers or Browns. They do not like the Steelers. LOl. I always get the stare when I visit because they look at me like"who the fuck are the Eagles" look on their faces.

To give the devil his due, the Browns have always had a good D, But when the offense is helping the opposing team score points the D is pretty much irrelevant.

Hoyer was a good QB but when he had his first bad game he more or less just kept getting worse. They had a story about him that he was putting so much pressure on himself that he just self destructed.

You nailed it.. That's exactly what happened. I remember talking to the in-laws about Hoyer and they loved the guy up until like you mentioned. He regressed each and every week. I'm not that familiar with the Browns historically per se, but correct me if I'm wrong it was Bernie Kosar who was the last competent QB to play behind center? Am I missing someone?

I enjoyed watching boxing decades ago. Now it just leaves a bad taste in the mouth. It's all catered to corporations, A list celebrities, and it's so staged (WWE). Those days of Hagler, Holmes, Frazier, etc. are long gone.

Agreed, what kind of a sport charges 40k for seats (and those are the cheap ones)....definitely not one geared for the average fan.

I like Foles, but he is hardly a proven winner. He did great for us in Chip's first year, but regressed, plus got injured. Look, he wasn't a good fit for our offense. Like many other QB's, if he has all the right supporting cast, he can be successful. He moves slow, and has a slow delivery. good luck to him in St.L.

Chip bet his NFL future on the equivalent of a 15-1 longshot at the track. He'll be in college this time next year when it all comes crashing down.

IMO, the Eagles had a really good draft, but truth be told, who is the starting QB? I am assuming that Sanchez will somewhere along the line take the reins again if not being the starter on the first game of the season. There are so many if's with Bradford to even think that he is going to be the guy. So my question, can Sanchez lead this team to a Super Bowl given an improved Defense and superior running game??

A quick look at Sanchez' TD/INT ratio will answer that one for you.

They'd have to have a D like the '85 Bears to win with Sanchez.

There really is no question who played better between Sanchez and Foles last year. I think Kelly loves Sanchez and thinks he could resurrect his career. But he also loves the potential of Bradford even more. IMO it simply is Bradford > Sanchez => Foles. When you can trade the QB that your probably not going to start (and consequently will be gone in a year anyways), for a guy that could be a home run of a player at that position, you do it. Bradford could very easily be the starter for the next ten years here...or gone next year. Its that potential that is really a no brainer to spend a 2nd round pick and your backup QB on.

Bradford is going to surprise many people.

I have the same feeling as well. If this guy can stay on the field he will do very well.

Sanchez isn't a QB who can carry a team to a Superbowl, but I do see him (in this system) as being a guy who can "manage" the team to wins. If we had any semblance of a 2ndary last season ... Sanchez would have had a few more wins under his belt. That's not to say that I would feel comfortable with Sanchez as our starting QB ... but if Bradford goes down during the season ... I wouldn't just throw in the towel on our season.
