If the fans, of all the things that series, really bother him that much, he should retire. Boohoo. He just is proving my OP to be correct- he's an asshole. The guy who got suspended for throwing a helmet at an ump because he didn't like the call is stupid. A guy like him lecturing about the fans is a joke. If he has a problem with Herrera, fine, I would too. Lawrie trying to moralize random fans is stupid. He won't let it go either, one way or another, so I have no problem with people continuing the thread. If people are going to whine about what is apparently whining, so be it.He's right and this thread is a perfect example of why he's right

I'd prefer if pitchers were above throwing at each other, but if that's what happens, then so be it. I'd also prefer reckless slides like Lawrie had were out of here- this isn't the days of Ty Cobb, or even the 80's with McRae...
I don't either, I just find it reckless given the context of the situation. He doesn't have any public favor with me, I think he's a stupid dick full of steroids. That said, I still don't think he was trying to injure the Mexican 2nd baseman.

Lawrie's right.
Royals fans just keep this going, making it more and more obvious that they're new to baseball.
I'm sure the fanbase will mature if the Royals continue being successful.
but he was an asshole before his reckless slide
of course, most people with ink-sleeves are douchebags
Gaping asshole.
I'd like to take a belt sander to his sleeves.
Have a trophy. :second:
It appears the Royals have replaced the Derek Jeter Strikeout thread as designated troll thread on the MLB forum.
From what I understand, it's a CBS thing. I was wondering what the hell was going on when I saw the Jeter thread when I came over from ESPN. The Former CBS'ers probably can explain it better than I can.I don't know what that means.
Interesting. I still have no issue with what he did.
Looks like the ump had his arm cocked ready to call him out no matter what. He was safe, and it was a clean play.

But he still looks safe to me. Just because he would've been safe had he not went in hard doesn't mean what he did was wrong. Or poor sportsmanship or any of that. It looked like a very standard play and it sucks that these athletes think they need to retaliate.
