So, let me ask this, if your team drafts anything besides a need, do you just assume that they took BPA??

I would guess it's BPA or someone they really want but they know that player won't be around on their next pick.

I'd like to think there is a complex science behind it but I remember hearing last year that Jeff Fisher didnt even have Michael Sam on his draft board but had an about face last year for no reason other than 'why not?'

Maybe I should have asked the question differently...

Do you think bolstering a team strength is more affective than patching a weakness??(assuming similar valued players)...

IMO, you can't have too many studs on the OL/DL. They can make up for a weakness in some other areas, but generally speaking you can't be weak on the edges on the DEF...especially CB/S...you have to patch that area up to win a SB.

Stoke I have your list and I was confused on which team of yours was up. I was on my phone so couldn't see full draft thread. I didn't get back online till 11pm last night from softball so decided to not pick in case I took wrong guy for wrong team. Oh well you logged on a hour later and made your pick. Sorry bro.

Sorry, Ritz. Didn't mean to sound so critical. What I really meant was that I felt bad for everyone waiting, not that I thought you or Nos should have done anything different.

An example of this would be next year the Rams might only have enough money for Nick Fairley or Janoris Jenkins. Lets assume both are solid starters but neither are pro bowl players next year. The assumption is that Jenkins would get signed and Fairley would walk.

Always patch the weakness imo

Opponents will also pick apart your weaknesses so they better not be brutal!

Say a team has a good D-Line but an average secondary. Instead of drafting a CB or S said team takes someone on the D-Line to make them go from a good D-Line to a great D-Line. To me a great D-Line can make an average secondary look good.

I agree with this, and this is why sometimes I don't care about weaknesses... Another aspect to why I like bolstering a strength sometimes is the fact that your team plans around your strengths, if you bolster a strength, and someone goes down that strength should still be strong enough to not NEED to change your team philosophy or gameplans or even plays...

But as FFF stated, this only works if your weakness is not BRUTAL or even Bad...
