One of these years I'd like to get down to ST.

Definitely find the time to do it! There's a ton of things to do down here besides the Twins, but if MLB is your passion, WE GOT IT!!! For instance, the Red Sox are down the street only a few miles away from the Twins, the Rays 1-hr. North, and maybe 6-7 more MLB teams 2 to 2-1/2 hrs further. I went to the Twins Spring Training Opener a couple nights ago. It was a gorgeous night for a game and the Red Sox and Twins put on a show! Every day you can wander over to the stadium and watch the Twins work on fundamentals, take B.P., etc. All of this is free. I plan to scoot over the Arizona one year to see all those parks. What the heck, you only live once, live it up!!

YOLO, RIGHT?!?!

But in reality, kids in school... it'd be tough to coordinate, but something that's definitely on our radar.

For sure, the kids are everything! But time flies, and one day you can finally do things like taking in Spring Training. Work hard, pay your bills, save a few bucks, and Bingo!, you're here! If a fool like me could do it, you sure can!

Sano hit moonshot a couple days ago and Vargas took one deep yesterday. These guys got some serious power.

Sounds like they want to keep Sano in the minors from what I've heard anyway. But Vargas gotta be up on the big club after his performance last year. I think he hit like 9 HR's over 50 games. He could go 30 bombs on the year with a full season. Not sure where they want to put him though, would seem a bit strange to have a rookie as full time DH.

He's (Vargas) a 1st baseman - and that's Mauer's spot for the forseeable future. Who knows how things might've worked out if they'd done that with Ortiz early on.

As for Sano, it makes a lot of sense, considering the amount of time he has missed with injuries. Make sure he's ready before bringing him north. He and Buxton will be up soon enough... just a year behind schedule.

interesting piece I just came across before submitting this. funny how much of it aligns with my thoughts:

Camp sights: Twins almost ready for big power move

I will say this, it's nice to actually be excited this spring, even if somewhat tempered.

'We can't have that.' Molitor yanks Aaron Hicks from game for mental mistake in win over Jays | Star Tribune

I am loving the fact that Molitor is the head coach right now. So glad he was the one to land the job.

He benched Hicks for not paying attention which is the tough love that needs to be applied to send a message to these guys. I did like Gardy as head coach but this was a fault of his in that he would let these things go too much. I get that Gardy wanted to have a good relationship with the players but I didn't like how he tried so hard to be buddy-buddy with them. I like where this team is going.

PC & Win - Talking about Sano & Vargas, they could really amaze us, they sure have the potential, and this entire Twin team seems physically bigger than I think I've ever seen them! But Dozier continues to amaze me in that he's got legit power and holds his own with anyone on that team. Dozier drilled on into the LF foul pole the other day and people were seen diving out of the way of the ricochet! What do we do with Hicks? He's so freakin' fast, and physically stacked, that you hate to not play him but there must be something going on his head once he gets on the field that prevents him from reaching his potential. This could be his last year here if he don't get it going.

Hicks is Gomez 2.0 :L. And IMO, we gave up on him too soon. Gomez that is. Can only hope that Hicks figures it out

Damn, the Twins are really tearing it up today with 10 runs through 6 innings so far. Eduardo Escobar with a grandy and Dozier just keeps on hitting.

Escobar might be showing last year wasn't a fluke. Issue is we have too many option right no on offense...wish it was the same for pitching.

If the rotation still isn't good as the year goes on we gotta use some pieces in the log jam to get pitching. Still feel like Hunter is taking a much more useful players spot(Rosario).

When Sano and Buxton get here then that's two more spots. At somepoint Plouffe, Escobar, Rosario, Hicks and Dozier could all be used to reel in pithing(obviously we don't trade them all LOL. Just that would be the group to acquire some arms if need be).

Story of my life being a Twins fan. We've had pitching with no hitting, and now it's come full circle.

I disagree with Rosario on Hunter taking someone's spot. The Twins have a history of success when there's a guy like him in the clubhouse. I'm not talking about WS, but just winning seasons. This town is fickle, and having a face for the fans and media, as well as keeping the locker room atmosphere light, is equally important. Especially with all the kids. From Puckett to Hunter, and even guys like Redman and Cuddy (the last years of winning seasons).

He'll prove his worth, and I don't fear that he nor Molitor will recognize when it's time.

I kinda agree with "Hockey" about Hunter. It's the old "been there, dun that" deal that Minnesota teams love to relive over and over. If the team is serious about moving forward with promising new guys, then put 'em in, already!! On the other hand, Hunter still looks like he's 20-something when I see him playing down here and he really isn't that bad either. "Win" could be right in letting Hunter try to invigorate the team (especially Mauer??) heh, heh. In closing, what have I done here? Not much! All I've managed to do is put myself squarely in the middle of the "fence post" on the Hunter-question. Tori is here for at least 2015, that much seems certain.

My issue is more that he's getting 10mil and clearly a starters role. His defense is at a point where it's actually worse than Arcia's which isn't good. If he was back in more of a KG role it would be great. But right now he weakens or outfield D and doesn't have much plate discipline. I'd lI've to be wrong. But I'd be great to get a long look at Rosario before Buxton comes.

That way we decide who is the best option to trade between Hicks, Rosario, Dozier(Rosarios natural position). If Rosario doesn't get much of a look he won't have much value.

This is a big year for Dozier. He's KILLING it this spring. But we gotta see if it's just one of his hot streaks or if he becomes more consistent for a full season. He's already very solid. If that average raises...he won't be the trade piece.

Having Hunter around is invaluable. Great career veteran player to show all these young guys the ropes and keep things alive in the clubhouse. His salary is up because that is the the type of player he has proven himself to be.

It's funny to me when people complain about one guy being paid too much. Don't they all get paid too much?

Sitting on this Hunter fence post is putting slivers in my butt. At the game last week, Hunter got a nice single and all we could do is laugh about how long before the pitcher picked him off. Hunter can be an air-head too, but when he's on, look out peoples!! Too late now, anyway. Let's hope he produces like the old days, I'm sure gonna!

We're gonna win Twins, we're gonna score!

I'm sitting on this Hunter fence,

And my ass is getting sore!
