:wtf2:It adds an extra game? and the committee will look at it...:noidea:
Yes, but you dont get a boost in schedule for rematches. Also tell me how much good the Championship game is doing for the PAC, SEC, and the ACC. Right now the only conference in the country that a CCG can help is the Big 10. It is (would be) a negative for every other conference, including the Big 12

An extra win is an extra win. May be against shit but in the commitees eyes it's an extra game played.

You are talking out of your ass. There is no indication that the Committee thinks an extra win against southeast baitshop u. is any boost at all.

It's not really about the purity of the league championship. It's more about the league getting a team into the playoffs. Bowlsby:

"We don't have any province to say to the playoff committee, 'Baylor won head
to head so they need to be our representative,' " Big 12 commissioner Bob
Bowlsby said. "The process is about selecting what they consider to be the four
best teams. Four best is different than the four most deserving. The most
deserving is mostly an objective process in which you might have computer
rankings and a bunch of different polls."

Emphasis added.

If they pick TCU, then TCu needs to send a massive fruit basket to Minny because they are the only reason they got the nod.

Not really. TCU got beat by 3 points by the number 5 team at their opponents home field. Baylor got beat by an unranked team by 14 points at their opponents home field. TCU beat that same team by 1 point at that same field. TCU hung 82 points on Tech where Baylor struggled with them.

Look, the committee said a few weeks ago if everything is equal, head-to-head comes into play. Right now, they don’t see everything being equal between the two. I could not agree more.

All the major conferences have a championship game except Big12. They should all play one or no one plays it.

^^^THIS^^^

Personally, I would prefer that they get rid of CCG's, have all conferences at 10 teams and everyone plays a round robin schedule. Obviously that would mean getting rid of some teams, but it would make for stronger conferences and better overall football if conferences shed some of the perennial doormats or recently added teams.

Since that ship has already sailed and it ain't coming back. All conferences need to have a CCG. I think the NCAA should step in, get 2 more teams in the Big 12 and get them having a CCG. Also, they need to put an end to "conference hopping" as well, especially when it means a conference would lose their CCG.

Not talking out my ass. Have watched a many CFB daily. Espn has done many segments on the situation but it sounds like you haven't seen those.

That not a reason. That is a cop-out. Simple fact is that there are 5 AQ conferences (can we really use that term anymore, since there are 4 spots?) and a conference championship game is a bad thing for 4 of them. It also may end up costing the ACC, SEC, and PAC money this year (depending on the Playoff pay-out)

They're already discussing doing away with the current format:

It's not a bad thing is tOSU jumps TCU/Baylor because of it.

Do you read? I said the only conference it can benefit is the Big 10. The majority of conferences are better off this year without a CCG. Let me know if you disgree with that statement.

I disagree with not having a championship game helping the Big 12

WHY? SOS is not improved by rematches. Right now the only team that can get in 2 teams to the playoffs is the Big 12. If they had a championship only 1 team could get into the playoffs. Not sure how a playoff would be helpful. Let me know if you have an answer.

When you are done with that let me know how the Pac, ACC, and SEC are benefiting from a CCG

They are in danger of ZERO teams making the playoff. With a CCG I guarentee the winner would make it ahead of OSU. It's that simple. Do I see your arguement? Yes I do and I see both sides. I really think all 5 power conferences need to be aligned with having or not having a CCG. That's the real solution.

How is it guaranteed? It doesnt improve the SOS. The most likely scenario is TCU is in no matter what. If OSU wins by 30 over Wisconsin, would Baylor automatically be in with a 3 pt win over TCU? The answer is no. How can all 5 conferences by aligned when 1 has 10, another 12, and 3 have 14?

TCU has no chance. None.

You have to understand it isn't just about SOS. There is a panel that is judging based on many factors including the eye test and perception.

I disagree. The CCG does something to help. When the PAC had 10 teams, not having a CCG was given as a reason for a PAC team not making the NCG on at least a couple of occasions. It was said the extra "quality win" from the CCG gave the other team the needed "bump" to get in.
