5 bad weeks in a row is a bad sign. Yet there will be someone out there that will think he is getting a steal. Deal Shady to that guy!!

I'd trade for him. . At a severely discounted rate. Just the simple return of his center took him from bad to mediocre. If those other two replacement lineman can up their game a little in the coming weeks, he'd be better than average. I think top 5 is probably out of reach though.

So if you had Shady and A. J. Green would you trade him for Russell Wilson and Ahmad Bradshaw
your QBs being Ben and Cam?

Huh? I can't imagine a world where I would trade either of those players for Wilson & Bradshaw. Maybe my sarcasm meter is broken?

OK, I've haven't done FF long, educate me. McCoy is averaging 7.3 points a game with the Giants, a bye, @ Ari, @ Houston, Caro. The Eagles OL looks to be hurting, you see him putting much up in the next few weeks?
Green is averaging 9.7 and I would say he should improve.

Russell Wilson is averaging 22.4 points per game and has 24 tonight so far and the scedule looks good for improving numbers. Bradshaw is averaging 13.3, I think that is about what you can expect from him.

Perhaps because Ben is averaging 17.8? However that's inflated by one good game against TB where he put up 28 points.

Seems like a gamble to trade for under performing players after 5 weeks, especially McCoy, because I don't see things getting better for him for a while.

My guess is that a QB that is good vs a QB that is OK doesn't yield enough.

Unless you have one of the elite QBs (Manning, Brees, to a lesser extent Rodgers) fantasy football is driven by RBs and WRs. McCoy and Green are elite players at their position, Wilson and Bradshaw are not. Basically, McCoy at his floor (basically what he is doing right now) is slightly worse than Bradshaw, but McCoy at his peak is the best RB in fantasy. Green right now (below his potential, but still solid) is still far more valuable than Wilson. At his peak, he is a top 10 player.

Basically, if I'm trading away McCoy and Green for a QB and RB, it's Manning/Brees and a top 10 RB or it's no deal.

Do you really think someone would offer that? I already seen it said that a trade for McCoy would involve a big discount. That doesn't sound like a discount at all.
Also who do you have as top 10 RB this year? It's been tough to judge them IMO.

Tonight was the first game this year that he had either 50+ rushing yards or more than 2 TDs.

he has 2 passing tds every week this year and with the ground 1 he actually had 3 this week...

yes first over 50 but had 40 last week and has averaged 52 yards a week on the ground

as a matter of fact he has averaged the 3rd most points at Qb per game this year...
only behind Luck at 1 and Peyton at 2 and well ahead of Rodgers and Brees....

IMO McCoy would be pretty much untradeable to me at this point. If you're trading him away, you're not going to get anywhere near equal value, due to the slow start. Now, if someone offers me McCoy right now, and is willing to take a lesser RB because of his dip in value, I would be all for taking that. But I don't think it would be a smart move, as running backs of that caliber (barring injury) usually bounce back.

I'm in a similar position, obviously to a much lesser extent, with Montee Ball. I understand it's a bit different because of Ball's injury, but let's just assume he is healthy for arguments sake. I'm not even considering trading him, because his value is so low right now that I wouldn't get anything that even close to matches his potential value. While I might be able to get a much more reliable player than Ball right now, there is no way I am getting a player with top 25 overall potential. I'd take a 20% chance at a top 20 player over an 80% chance at a top 75 player every day of the week. Like McCoy, but again to a lesser extent, he has miles of untapped potential. Other owners might try to bait me into a less than equal value trade, because of the frustration of owning Ball thus far. But if I trade him right now, I'm most likely getting minimum value out of him, assuming he eventually bounces back (which I believe both McCoy and Ball will).

The only way I'd consider a trade of a player like McCoy right now, is if it was for another buy low type, along the lines of a McCoy-Calvin Johnson swap. Otherwise you're most likely accepting lesser value, at least in my opinion.

As for my top 10 RBs (in this order):

Murray
Charles
Forte
Lynch
Bell
McCoy
Foster
Bernard
Gore
Ellington

And yes, if I was offered AJ Green and McCoy for Brees and any of Bernard/Gore/Ellington, and it made sense with the rest of my roster, I'd take it.

I've got both Luck and Wilson. Luck is kicking ass this year and Wilson isn't doing to bad himself. Some times it pays to be forward looking rather that looking in the rear view mirror.

Yeah, you're in a pretty good spot there. If I were you I'd see if anyone is interested in Wilson. Luck is too good not to start every week, and Wilson is way too good to be sitting on your bench.

You said "50 ground yards at will" but he's only done that in 1 of 4 games. You should have said "50 ground yards on average" if that's what you meant.
