OK Ladies and gents it's week two time for those who got it wrong last week to redeem themselves and for those with heightened prognosticating skills to really impress. Good luck to all, as I attempt to even up at 1-1.......Jags 20 Washington 13. Defense fails to get off of the field.....Offense clicks between the 20 yard lines and player of the game are ticket holders who will voice their displeasure.

You know what, Im feeling generous

Skins win it 28-10. Player of the game is Alfred with 2 rushing TD and 130 yard rushing. Helu has a Rushing TD and Johnson also has a Rushing TD.

Rg3 is a rather efficient 19 of 25 with no picks for a cool 250 yards, and the JAGs 10 points come off of a blown play in pass coverage, and a late field goal

Going total Homer

Skins win 27 -14

We finally see some play action, a long bomb on our first drive ends in a TD by Andre Roberts. Al Mo and Helu get 30+ touches between them.

Griff continues to progress and surprises us all.

2 TOs, in the skins favor and our D gets 3sacks.

No gaffes on STs

As a result of this game, fans unite and sing Kum Bay Yah...:heh: (k, this last prediction ain't happening...Ha!)

34-17 skins. I think we will force three turnovers and have a defensive TD.

Morris goes for over 150 yards.

DJAX makes a long TD.

Their pass rush may be as good as Houston's so that will again be a problem for this OL. I see another ugly game, 10-7 into the second half. But the Skins find a way to win 17-13

funny that every one assumes that Rg3 will do better and the defense will do worse.

i have the defense giving up 16 points , i am not sure that is a huge indictment of the defense . in fact only one person has the jags as giving up as many as 21 points .

i dont get you point

now if you would like i can nit pick the defense like Rg3 gets it done to him ?

for instance no sacks 4 hits on the qb 1 TO and giving up 126 yds on the 2 last drives when they were pinned back inside the ten and allowing houston to ice the game

but that takes away from the real truth , they did a very good job

so far we have played one game . to judge what the defense does after one week and make any proclamations would be unfair even though the Dc has a 20 yr history of fielding mundane defenses

i will choose to be fair to him , give him time to call his defense the way he didnt last year because shanny interfered and haslet didnt have his dad pulling strings for him and doesnt have limos picking up his wife , and doesnt get to go to lunch with danny and determine the future of the franchise like Rg3 so i cant hate him

you know all the "true " things Rg3 did that according to some havent been debunked

my expectations for him is to have a top 15 defense with more sacks and TO's . week one didnt turn out that way but i wont give up on him because one week does not a season make

Don't you ever think it is funny that all the negative things you have heard about Shanahan you take for gospel while anything rumors you have heard about Griffin is CSI?

Don't you ever think it is funny that all the negative things you have heard about Shanahan you take for gospel while anything rumors you have heard about Griffin is CSI?

well in a few games we will find out if shanny interfered or not

game one seems to be "no" he did not

so the jury is still out

as for quitting after the seatle game , i say that is bunk

what i believe in my heart is that expectations were too high all around and the season turned into a shambles with fault lying all around in equal parts much like all 3-13 teams do

i think the staff made mistakes in the handling of many situations during his tenure . however he did some good things

so no , i dont take all the crap about shanny as gospel because no one has put up any credible evidence to support any anti shanahan accusations

however i dont think the 24 yr old diva did half of what he is accused of either however if i defend it i am naive if you defend it then you are some voice of reason because negativity is smarter then being positive

i think , with no real evidence , that shanny , much like gibbs simply got mentally drained

but see that makes it speculation , a theory , and can never , ever by taken as fact and i will never argue it as such

that is the difference :suds:

BTW: Just for kicks I'll be keeping a running tally on our predictions for the season. I'll give records at the end of each quarter. Because this is new I'll tell you that only three here correctly predicted the first game ( Shark...Tdog21 and Darrell Green Fan ) Clearly the rest of us needs to step up this week!

Also for those who join in as time goes on, your record begins the week that you start, sorry, I will not have time to research your predictions on other threads. That said welcome to prediction Friday.....Sportster72.......Gkekoa and Lonewate44. As I said this is just for fun, however ideas as to what sort of recognition top predictors get is welcome.

Hey Dad, is it possible that something ( gold stars) can be added beside quarterly winners names and maybe a picture of a great looking trophy to the ultimate season ending winners name? Thanks! !

Pattern seems pretty clear to me: most pick the Redskins to win, they usually lose. :bullshit:

We get our first sustained look at what this offense can do hitting on all cylinders.

Griff has a huge game, most passing yards in a game for his career, 340+ yards/3 TDs, two of which will be huge plays. One will be a beaut of a bomb to Djax and Roberts turns another that's a hits him in stride 10-12 yard pass into a 40-50 yard TD with YAC. PG snags the 3rd one that's also a sweet pass play from within the red zone.

Alf has a big day with 23 carries/110-120 yards/2 goal line TDs.

Haslett breathes easy and very well for the first time in a while as the defense impresses as well.

RK sets the tone for the game with a big early on sack/for fum a DT recovers and leads to the Skins first TD.

Orakpo gets Skins fans to thinking maybe he's worth a gazillion dollars with a 2.5/3 sack game.

The secondary looks great all game long playing tight, aggressive coverage and coming up with 2 INTs.

We get our first points of the year from a kicker as Cobra is 5/5 on XPs and 1/1 FG.

Skins win 38-14 in a game that isn't that close.

DJAX gets his first TD

The fans start talkin' smack and SB again, before getting stomped on in week 3.

LOL Raid, we'll leave that type of talk for the Eagless (your second favorite team ;))

This board is pretty realistic regarding our skins. Ain't no one talking SB here this season :happyshake:
