I know Bam Morris got himself into some trouble with drugs and so did Santonio Holmes, and both were eventually shipped outta town but I'm sure it was after the NFL was done with them...they weren't just cut by Cowher.

Dewayne Bowe of KC was the most recent suspension over weed and he got 1 game...assuming this is his 1st positive and Bell's blood test doesn't come back with something more serious...I think he'll get the same suspension from the NFL and be on the frequent pee list.

I still don't get the driving around with it, but...whatever...stupidity.

The only reason Ravens fans are even saying that is because every Ravens hater is saying he "beat the hell out of her" or "he beat her to a pulp" when she didn't even need medical treatment. If we saw Rice continually hitting her, then that's a different story. He most likely only retaliated to her attacking him (which of course was wrong and unacceptable). Rice admitted to hitting her (when he didn't need to) so it's not like anybody is denying that.

All of them, it's called self defense.......Fortunately our legal system provides in a criminal case that the defendant is innocent until "proven guilty beyond any doubt", and Ray was not.....
You are thinking on terms of a civil case where all you need is the preponderance of evidence can be used to convict a person with......

I'd have to think there is grounds for a drug test. Fail the test and get 4 game suspension. The DUI they are actually taking more seriously but that can be drug out.

Ray Rice 2 game thing is a real embaressment to the NFL right now. If they do something stupid they will take a lot of heat. If they give less than 4 days for Pot and Tyms is suspended 4 games for a prescribed med.....
Gordon doesn't count. He suspended himself!

Well this could be a blessing in disguise so-to-speak. Just look at how Ben turned out after he went through all of the crap he did. If they are going to get into trouble I would rather have them do it early in their career as long as it doesn't repeat itself. Bell seems like a smart enough kid to figure out that he won't be around long if it should continue... Blount on the other hand... Bad influence to say the least.

I highly doubt they will suspend Bell more than 2-4 games. Blount will probably be a 1-game suspension.

I haven't heard anything about the blood tests so I'm waiting to hear about that... If they test negative then it will likely be what Mangler said, 2 for Bell & 1 for Blount... Bowe was charged for the same thing a month or 2 ago (charged with possession while driving) and only got a 1 game suspension from the league. Obviously if Bell is charged with the DUI it changes things. But I still don't see more than a 4-game suspension.

I don't think the league takes into consideration what's best for the team when handing down punishments for violations.......The ruling comes down and then they can appeal but the ruling stands unless revised, as in Ben's case.....
