Frankly, we've all arrived at the point as Lions fans where we consider talk to be worthless, particularly from the team. We used to be excited about the draft. We used to discuss the upcoming season. Now? Nothing; just show us on the field.

We did have a recurring thread that sometimes still gets bumped..."Your team sucks". It was started by and is kept going solely by Lions fans. A self-deprecating bunch we are.

We did have a little more lively discussion last offseason concerning Stafford and whether to resign/extend him or not. I fell on side of anything over about $15M per season was far too much for a guy with only one postseason and 0 playoff wins.

So, the guy is overpaid and must now produce. If he can't be consistently good this year, he never will be.

Good thing we kept a paper towel box in the living room for throwing trash in, so we didn't have to get up. I doubt I could have hit anything smaller on such short notice.
