I love your posts RA, can always find some quality research put into your arguments to make solid cases that most others don't put the time or effort in.

As I previously stated, he lead the nation with an 82.95 completion % between 0-9 yds.

As a passer he was extremely limited in range. Beck knew it, and defensive coordinators that were worth a shit knew it.

Beck greatly limited him to 0-15 yds between the hash marks.
Defensive coordinators wanted to take that away and force him to beat them beyond that range.

On quick out patterns to the sidelines, If a pass was 10 yds downfield, you had to add approx. 17-20 yds from the hash to the sideline. Therefore it was approx a 27 - 30 yd pass of which he was under 13% completion percentage.

As I stated there were many pick 6's, or near pick 6's, on those sideline passes. He did not have the range or the timing.

Sometime awhile back you argued that if TA got up to a 55% completeion, we'd be alright. Apparently you weren't aware that's only a 3% improvement???? But in your mind it's going to make him an OK QB this year and get us more victories?

You don't like bringing TO into a conversations about Nebraska football, you always have to have the last say, and you're always right. Are you 10 or 40? Your behavior suggests 10. No worries, I'll continue to bring up counter-points to anything that you post that appears to be inaccurate. I'm talking about 2012---look up the stats not all of his passing were those short outs as they only made up 42% of his completions---the rest he had reasonable movement on the rest of the field.

-------
Like I said, only 42% of his passes were of the short variety.

Those stats you just posted are "SITUATIONAL" stats. i.e. Passes thrown depending on FIELD POSITION (where the ball was spotted).
"Own" stands for Own side of the field and "Opp" stands for Opponents side of the field. Not one thing in there indicates how far the ball was in the air. The completions include YAC's. Rcvrs yds after the catch.

1st: Stands for how many times they got a 1st down when they were at that particular location on the field. It could have been 3rd and 4, 2nd and 9, 1st and 10. We don't know.

15+: Stands for "Pass completions of 15 or more yds" when they were at that particular location on the field. That number INCLUDES YAC (yds after catch). i.e. how many yds the rcvr ran before he was tackled.

25+: Stands for "Pass completions of 25 or more yds" when they were at that particular location on the field. That number includes YAC (yds after catch). i.e. how many yds the rcvr ran before he was tackled.

Those "situational" stats are an indication of what Beck was trying to do given a particular field position.

Dammit. I highlighted the wrong portion of the Situational stats.

This is the portion of the stats (that 472 is using) that I meant to highlight.

JJM--I don't care where he lives of what he does. He know a lot about Husker ball, but it would be nice on occassion when he makes a brad based statement and someone proves him wrong, he'd just admit it and let it go.

He's the one that stated the majority of TMs passes were of the short variety. He'd didn't quality with YAC OR "situationl" passing when he made his statement. I admit, I qualified my statement as I was only discussing 2012 from the start. Even that didn't appease RA. He keeps qualifying and deflecting (to no avail). One cannot be right all the time. Based on what he initially said this time he's wrong.

Nope. I was right from the get go and am still right. The vast majority (over 70%) of TM's passes were 14 yds and under. I proved that.

Your situational stats to try and support your 42% claim were a complete fail, and I proved that too. I called it that you were looking at YACs before you even cut and pasted the info (without adding the link I might add). Those situational stats are tacking on YACs and if you can't see that, you don't know what you're looking at. I busted your ass "Red"_Handed trying to weasel your way out.

I'm not going to tell someone they're right when I know they are spreading false information. I know what I saw with my own eyes in games and I know how to read statistics, graphs, charts, etc.

My statements that Beck was intentionally limiting TM to those passes is certainly opinion, but that is the extent of my opinion.

Look at post #66 and tell me why it's blatantly obvious those situational stats INCLUDE YACs.

Go ahead...It's obvious in EVERY category. LOL

I seriously doubt we win less than 8. But, if we do, I hope it is as alarming to everyone as it is to me. I don't see how anyone could find it ok in the 7th year of this current staff.

the experts are as confused by this team as we are. I mean, anywhere from 1st to 4th in the B1G West Division (by the guys at CBS). Which I could see any of those scenarios happening especially with injuries already hitting this team.

personally, it all lies on the offense and if you really widdle it down, it's the QB. we need consistent play, a 65% completion rate (on all throws, not just <15yd passes). If we get that we have the D to keep us in games.
