Let me get this straight. Simply because multiple picks were traded for RG3 he should be the best QB from that draft class - no questions asked? What? That is ridiculous. I certainly hope that the team never implied that to him since that is a good way to screw up a young player's head.

Again - the trade is over & done with - why focus on it so much? If you are so worried about the QB position worry about it since we all don't want to suffer through another rebuild - not because of some trade from several years ago that can't be undone.

Again I thought it was a mistake when we first took him. I admit i was fooled by his year one performance on face value. BUt HIs attitude, and the reality that he is still an option QB has me thinking more along my original lines about him. And while some will try and separate the trade from the player, simply put we made the trade to take the player. So the two are linked. I dont think he will live up to the billing. I might be proven wrong, but I dont expect to be.

Worst Passer Ratings In Every Year Since the Merger ? FootballPerspective.com

Pretty funny stuff related to this topic. This list shows the QBs with the worst ratings for each year since 1970. Seven of them are SB winning QBs (several won multiple SBs). Several more played in the SB. With few exceptions all of them had these horrible seasons very early in their career. Oh well.

i guess the 49ers are totally stupid for giving an option qb a 60 mil contract extension too ? that kid has had them in a superbowl as vick +

vick is a 52.6 % career passer

RG3 is a 62.7% career passer . huge difference

RG3 has a 91.5 QBR career
Vick 80.9

i bet there is a ton of fans who would be thrilled to have year one RG3 playing for us . you would too

your expectations are simply foolish . his stats even with the injury are in line with the best ever .

Dude.. I have always said he is an upgraded version of Vick... doesnt mean I think he was worth what we gave to get him. Also doesnt mean i think he will ever be more than an option QB.

I dont think it will take ten years. By 2016 he will either be the QB some expect (hope??), or the biggest draft trade bust ever.

i didnt say biggest bust. But if he doesnt turn into a consistent top 5 QB and soon, you would have to consider it one of the worst draft trades ever. He could be an above average QB (Ala tony romo) which would make him not a bust. But if he doesnt get the Skins a Lombardi ( and more than likely two) most outside of DC fandome would consider the trade a bust. Would you not agree??

there is no evidence he wont be as good as kaepernick or wilson either

and believe me if he ever wins a superbowl the cost wont matter it will be paid in full

his career stats dont suggest option qb either .

So we have a difference of opinion on the redskins Qb.... shocked?? As I said, with the talent we have put around him, a trained monkey with one eye and no balls SHOULD be able to be a top ten QB as long as the team stays relatively healthy.

in ten years i will be right either way . i said you dont gut drafts for a potential franchise qb as shark did with bradford and sanchez . ( he was hell bent on getting rid of JC instead of stopgap ping him till we built up the LOS as i suggested ) or for RG3 which he didnt

or RG3 will justify my support after the trade and not holding the trade against him personally for something management did and becoming the qb we hope he can

i dont lose :suds:

Backing Jason Campbell was a mistake.. I would consider that a loss. Just saying.

I'm in the lets give it some time camp. He didn't win Rookie of the year and NFCE by mistake. His knee made year 2 a complete wash IMO as he was never really close to 100% healthy at any point in the season. If this year he's healthy and sucks ass I'll start slightly leaning your way shark but I think most people here are willing to give griff a few more years before making judgements. I was fine with the trade at the time and still am. No guarantees anyone they would've selected with the picks they have up for him wouldn't have been great anyway so that's water under the bridge as far as I'm concerned. This team sucked last year due to his health, salary cap handcuffs thanks to Mara that fuckface, and the worst collection of special teamers I hope to never see again. Here's to a fresh start and a healthy QB :suds:

Guess the difference in the end is this. Most Skins fans HOPE Griffin turns out to be as good as advertised. I expect it to blow up in Dan Snyder's face. thik we would have been better off long term with Tannehill and what ever picks we got over 4 draft picks for Griffin.

I was with Shark feeling the team gave up way too much for an option QB that had one big year. All that being said he is what we have so "Go Skins!!"

Your second sentence is very telling. Thanks for basically answering a question I asked a while back. You expect RG3 to do poorly, hope that he fails & (based on one of your previous replies) were basically disappointed that he had a good season in year one.

Are you sure that you are not a Cowboys fan?

I can understand the feeling about the trade at the time (although I would disagree about the option part). However - to worry about this year after year is kind of pointless & even worse is making a complete judgement on the guy after two mixed seasons especially given the circumstances of last season.

I guess some of this depends on your motivation for rooting for the Redskins. I root for them since it is basically in my blood & I want the team to do well period. Others apparently root for this team primarily since they like to play pretend GM, guess their every move & worry more about being right than the success of the team. Different strokes - nothing wrong with that I guess.

I hope that in 10 years (certainly not hoping for that time to fly by) I will have been dead wrong about lots of things yet the Redskins win ONE SB. Forget this nonsense about multiple SBs - people apparently don't realize how difficult it is to even win one & the fact that it has been ages since the Skins have been anywhere close to a SB.

If the Redskins win another SB in 10 years I could care less about who is right or wrong & any other details of their success (including the name of the QB).

Where did I ever say I hope he fails?? DO I expect him to ever be worth what we gave up for him?? Nope. Not even a little bit. I love the mentality though that you must love and except Robert or you are not a true Skins fan. Which is basically the mentality that most take when it comes to any questioning of the QB.

Who said anything about loving the guy? What Redskins fans should do is root for the guy to do as well as possible regardless. Otherwise - you are rooting for the team to fail.

Again - if RG3 somehow landed on another team I probably won't really care about him. I care and cheer for him since he is the Redskins starting QB & hope for the future. If Cousins lit the world on fire during his starts last season I might actually be on board with a switch, but guess what - he didn't. He was drafted late for a reason (might develop eventually but not now).

Perhaps you don't explicitly say you want RG3 to fail, but I have yet to hear you say anything encouraging about the guy & you stated that you would rather have him fail miserably instead of being slightly above avg which sounds ridiculous to me (& you are also assuming that the next QB will be great which is a flawed premise).

I am not sure where you get this idea that most Skins fans are RG3 worshipers & are in love with the guy. I truly believe that most of us just want him to succeed since he is one of the main reasons for hope for this franchise. You also appear to be believe that there were not unique circumstances last season which do not currently exist & may result in a stellar year for RG3 & the team. Just not sure why any Redskins fan would not pull for the guy 100%.
