I thought you just spent the last 30 minutes telling people not to assume things? You cannot just assume he goes to UCLA and then comes right back at number one. Especially when there are other guys who are projected to be taken first next year.

If he goes to ucla, he CAN'T come out till after his junior year, if he goes to juco then he can re-enter (or independent)

what a shitty effin lineup! who can i blame for all the injuries and the lost efin season.

i would have say Daniels. he and nolan got into a pissing contest because Nolan saw the weakness of our pitching staff and wanted the Rangers to consider bringing in one or two quality SP's. he also was opposed to the Kiinsler/Fielder trade preferring to keep Kinsler and bring in at least 2 Free Agent bats (one of them being a 1st baseman).

but Washington will be the one who pays the price sometime in the next 3 months

The big error was thinking Harry and Lewis would be back.

Nolan didn't believe either would be back but Daniels put all his faith in them and even when Holland went down in January Daniels refused to consider that we were in trouble

I bet that mistake won't happen again. We better get at least 2 SP quick.

Here is, yet again, another example of a young hard throwing guy in the cardinals organization that came outta no where. It's like a pitcher making factory

you could be right scotty, but I'm thinking JD won't add that to his to-do his list this off season. Fair game early next season if the team starts slow.

If what you say is true then JD needs to be under close scrutiny.

I agree. Nobody could fault wash in any way for this season and getting rid of him would just add to the decreasing public perception of JD.

This is the guy who the Red Sox drafted back in 2009 but had his contract voided due to some kind problem with his birth certificate not having his name correct. It was some kind of name foul up is all I can remember.
After his contract was voided the Cards were able to draft him in 2010.

It seemed every weak ground ball TOR hit today found a hole. NT did get a lot of ground balls today, but I still don't see him as the answer for a rotation spot next year.

I am with you on seeing the source.

Maybe it's just me, but I thought he was just stating an opinion and not quoting a team source.

Many of us have, or have our problems with some of RW decisions. But to hold him accountable for this season would not be a very popular nor prudent move on JD's part IMO.

Sure seemed like he stated it as a fact to me.
