Here you go. For all those who wish his family the best and nothing but kind things to say about him. He's writing for the angels. Those not from Los Angeles but from above. God bless him, he's in a better place now.

My biggest sympathy to his wife and children. I know exactly what it is like to lose a father as a child. Such a surreal existence to be honest. I hope they are drawn closer by this tragedy and prosper as a family. Not even death can destroy such a bond.

As an aside it completely sucks as a sports fan to lose a such a level headed writer. Selfishly we all will miss you Richard.

Never remember hearing anything but good about this man. I remember when we were on ESPN board. We couldn't wait for Richard to get his game report put up so we could discuss everything. I had just come on board and enjoyed Richard's thoughts as well as yours. Best wishes for his family.

Always enjoyed him coming onto the board and answering questions for some of us posting from time to time or putting things into perspective based on knowledge of the goings on of the Rangers. His in game chats were very enjoyable as well. Really missed him when he went on to do the radio gig or whatever it was, as his rapid reactions were well done after games.

Those Rapid Reactions or whatever they are called were the good old days. Good team and exciting times.

Saw what it was called by Murph

What a terrible loss for his family as well as his fans. Use to love it when he would pop on to the espn boards. Love listening to him the short while he was on the radio. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Richard.

Thank you Darryl, for the thread.

Every tweet I have read, it's the same thing...a great guy, which all of us could have guessed...and some already knew.

It's really not sinking in yet, but it will. Right now, it seems utterly senseless.

and you're right, he was the level-headed writer...I respected him more than any of them.
