I agree, it could be a fun year. But I ask again, if Rak matched Hali's production while only rushing the passer about 75% of the time that Hali did... how is Rak not elite?? Thats like saying a guy who works 4 days a week, but matched your top salesman who worked six days a week isnt a top salesman because he didnt outperform the guy who worked two more days per week.

I don't feel he is worth a max deal and I don't want that to hurt us signing other players. He is entering his prime right now, and has no excuse with the talent we have put next to him. If Rak had that Extra 150 rush attempts and wasnt asked to cover backs or TE in pass coverage, or could simply ignore the back as far as contain goes, do you seriously think he not have hit 15 or more sacks last year??

No no no no. You are not getting off that easy on this one.
Kerrigan has just as much of an excuse then for not being elite. More tackles. More tackles for loss. More solo tackles. 4 forced fumbles to 0 for Rak. Kerrigan is a more verbal team mate and. Even people on this board have suggested he be a captain. Rak had 10 sacks to Ryan's 8.5, and 1 pick to Kerrigan's 0(although the 1 in the preseason was sick).

Just like with the defensive backs last year - be careful about the expectations for these rookies. Don't get too mad if they screw up at times & don't think that a bad season or some bad games indicate that any of these guys are busts. It takes different amounts of times for players to develop and none of these guys are "sure thing" first rounders.

There is a reason why a lot of rookies sit on the bench for a while. The transition from college to the NFL is not always that easy. Any draft has to be evaluated 2-4 years after it occurs.

Rak 28.5 sacks 165 tackles 5 ff 9pds
kerrigan 24.5 183 tackles 10 FF 15 pds 2 ints

that is both guys in their 1st 3 years . close on sacks and tackles , not so much in ints , pds or FF
however Rak had no one to draw people away from him while kerrigan had rak for 2 years

Andre Carter also had 11 sacks in 09 along with Rak's 11, so I wouldn't use that one. In 2k10 we had no one opposite Rak and he had 8.5 sacks.

Seriously dude, whats your beef with Rak?? Did you want the Skins to draft another player?? Whats it going to take for him to live up to your expectations?? Or is that even possible. I realize some times we think the team just made the wrong choice. I think we did it when we traded for RG3, but even then Im not passively hoping he fails.

Yet he is a self promoting self grandising player. The exact traits you say you dislike in Rak. I have never seen Rak throw his coaches or team mates under the bus, and he works just as hard as RG3. So sir that dog dont hunt. Especially since Rak has NEVER pointed fingers at others in the organization and the worst thing you could say he has ever done is push for a deal on par with what others at his position are being paid. Im willing to bet Mr hard work RG3 will do exactly the same but to a higher degree.

saying i wont challenge the banner is lame and a position taken by someone losing the debate . i have criticized skins players , the FO over then decade and 1/2 i have been posting

Rak isnt self promoting anything . the vast majority of his career he has been a solid citizen and certainly hasnt bragged about himself

i dont write off a 2nd year qb and i dont dismiss a 3x PB player

Nope, he just does his promoting acts during press confrences, on twitter and other social media. As far as Rak not being a leader, how do you know this?? Because he hasnt gone into a press confrence and proclaimed he is the leader of this team?? Or because he hasnt had the audacity to proclaim that HE gives this team the best chance to win?? Im just curious, what makes you think he isnt a leader??
