I'm in the Lainey camp when it comes to former players for the most part. Meaning: I cheer for them to succeed as long as they're not playing us.

Were they in that shift with less than 2 strikes? If so as much as Martin likes to bunt I am surprised he would not bunt it hard down the 3rd base line.

I have high hopes, even expectations for him. But he needs some seasoning at the lower levels. Flat over matched right now IMO.
