can we get back on topic please? Thomas says Seattles D didn't Beat them!!!!!!!

Hmmmm.....I guess he thinks the Seattle O was what beat them then??

It seems a bit strange. I watched the game and Seattle's D seemed to beat them like a red-headed stepchild. Apparently Thomas had his senses knocked out of him during that game and he just doesn't remember much.

It was like a violent r*pe where the victim's brain just blocks out the horror in order to avoid a mental breakdown.

I didn't take it as him saying the Seattle's defense didn't beat them just that the beatdown they got was more on what they did wrong than Seattle's defense being physical.

Which I think is a fair assessment since Denver clearly was capable of playing better.

Don't get me wrong if they played 10 more times I would pick Seattle to come out on top more often than naught but I wouldn't pick them to blow them completely out of the water each win.

Kam definitely brings the pain, but some of Dashon Goldson's hits were nasty

I love the second one because it was a great hit with PROPER TACKLING TECHNIQUE!

There would be a lot less flags if a lot more hits looked like that,

Just to comment on the original topic....the 'Hawks did a beat-down on the Broncos....in every aspect of the game.

To be fair, Denver did beat Seattle on two point conversions.

Nuff said. The Seahawks delivered the football equivalent of a snuff flick on the Broncos. And all we heard for two weeks leading up to that game was there was no way we could stop the great Broncos offensive.

I guess since I got called out on this one I should respond. I read Julius' words a while back and just started laughing because my first thought was "I bet on Sportshoopla General Board some Seahawk fan will create a post about this." Honestly I don't think his words were in any way meant to be insulting towards the Seahawks. Yes the whole they had played teams just as physical as them could have been taken that way a bit but I think it was more just him showing respect towards all of his opponents as every team has at least one good hitter and obviously the NFL just in general is a ridiculously physical game no matter what team you are playing.

He is right in that was just a horrible game the Broncos played. Some of that obviously needs to be credited to Seattle as they showed up to win and just beat the Broncos just about every way possible. I don't think though if they played 10 games in a row that all of them would end up that way that the Super Bowl did. The OL just looked out of sorts (which had happened a couple of times during the season but was not the norm) and the fact that Seattle had figured out Peyton's hand signals definitely did not help with trying to change the plays. The Broncos just were not prepared for the game and it showed on the field. I put that one on the coaches. Defensively the Broncos held with them for as long as they could but with the offense just shut down they wore out by the end of the game. Definitely looking forward to the match up. I honestly do think the Broncos went and got a guy like Emmanuel Sanders with the Seahawks in mind. Physical receivers don't usually have the best of games against the Seahawks but the ones who do seem to give them a bit of trouble are the quick change of direction type guys like we saw in the Indy game earlier in the year.

Solid response. I'd also have accepted that no Pro wants to admit that they got their Ishh handed to them. Lucky for us all we get to see it again week 3. Julius has a chance to prove what he said was right and Seattle didn't really beat them......

Although this time you gotta do it in Seattle.

Just going to throw this out there… But that hit from Kam wasn't that great

Yeah it was great... He only flew backwards about 8 yards... I"d say that's impact when you consider both guy's are around 240 pounds... Kam is a monster..

I accept that one... Every game kinda has it's flow to it... But one thing Manning and the Broncos hadn't seen all year was a top D .. I think they were shell shocked with the speed... Pass rush was all over Manning the entire game.. His arm was hit repeatedly and 2 turnovers were from his arm getting hit... Seattle's D did what no one else had all year... got Manning off his spot and made him hurry more than he wanted... It wasn't even about sacks just getting there and forcing him to throw sooner than he wanted... And the secondary was ALL over there receivers just waiting..

Ah, he's right. If his team's defense had pitched a shutout, they'd have won. He's just throwing his team-mates under the bus.

Actually even if the Denver D had pitched a shutout and everything else remained the same Seattle still wins. Seattle's D scored 9 points and the Denver O only scored 8 points.

Did you see Denver using the rally cry "35" during the off season work outs! lol

So now we are making fun of a team for using things like this to help motivate them? Hmmm so all those times that Seattle players have said they have used negative things to motivate them we should just make fun of them for that from now on?

Every team uses things like that to motivate them. I'm guessing you have never played actual football before if you are making fun of a team for using that.
