Looks Kirkman needs to be sent to Frisco. His era at RR is in the 13's and he did not make it out of the 4th inning last night. No wonder I felt the game was lost for us once he came in the game.

This guy is just a complete mental midget.

Part of that has to do with us mounting a lot of 8th and 9th inning come backs when were down by a run. Really the only time bunting is acceptable IMO.

I think bunting is more than acceptable opening day. It adds a nice festive, celebratory feel to the ballpark.

#Rangers make minor-league trade with Padres for Dan Robertson and purchase his contract. Pedro Figueroa to DL with elbow inflammation.

You don't think Wash has anything to do with winning 8 out of 10?

You mean like calling for that train wreck of a safety squeeze in the top of the 9th with the team's hottest hitter up to bat and one of its slowest runners on 3rd? If Wilson and Choice don't come through with back-to-back hits and bail out that sorry call, it's only 7 out of 10 games. Wash will gamble right on one of those now and then and super fans come out of the woodwork to praise him, conveniently forgetting the other numerous times it blew up in his face.

Wash has the team playing for one another and never giving up. So yes, he has contributed to their recent success. I've always given him credit for that. But he still pulls tactical stunts like last night which leave me shaking my head.

You mean the squeeze play that caught everyone by surprise including Moreland & Wash? There wasnt a squeeze play called. Martin did that on his own. The writers were quick to question Wash & Moreland on it.

"In the ninth, Moreland led off with a pinch hit double and went to third on Robinson Chirinos’ sacrifice bunt. Martin followed with another bunt that caught everybody – including Washington and Moreland by surprise. There was no squeeze play on. When Martin got the bunt down, Moreland figured he had no option but to make a dash for home plate.

“I’ve never been in that situation,” Moreland said. “But when he got the bunt down and it looked like it was up the first base line a little, I thought I better try to score. I don’t think it will ever happen to me again.”"

As much as it pains to say it from what I have read there was no squeeze play on. Martin messed up on that one.

Sorry XX

I have never been one to ask that RW be fired as he does get a lot from his players and their chemistry is good. Now that won't stop me from complaining about his lack of common sense in game situations. I mean I don't work for the Rangers and have to be a homer like Buzz, Grieve and McLemore. It is okay to 2nd guess the manager.

Not directly at you Bro-just using it as a springboard.

Then I stand corrected. The recaps I read all said the squeeze was called.
