Personally, I have found message boards to be more informative about sports than most of these "experts" on the major networks like ESPN. Sportshoopla content> ESPN> ESPN Boards, etc

Alot of the content on sports networks has to be dumbed down so that the average sport fan can grasp it.

Yep that can be the case, and we don't get paid for it. I think posters tend to comment using common sense versus common opinion.

Are you serious ?......Some fans are knowledgeable, but most are as giddy as can be.....And while some media guys are just as bad, especially the ex players, they have far more knowledge and inside info than the fans do.
Unless you are drkraven on the scout board that claims to rub shoulders with NFL brass and write articles for SI.....lol

Yeah I am serious but thanks for asking. I tend to ignore fans that are complete homers or that come off as biased to the point of being closed minded. Most board members on any board have access to multiple stats and data updates. So yeah I think some fans on media boards can be far more objective then guys getting paid to do it.

I guess I'm a bit of a homer too, but I appreciate good football and don't mind acknowledging it in other teams, just not so much when they play us....lol

I get a chuckle out of people bad mouthing ESPN IMO they are still the best agency for sports related news and shows. There one shortcoming IMO is that they seem to hate hockey.

I still go there for scores and sich. Saw the Colts picked up a coupla defensive players in the paper. Will they contribute?
