Do you ever post something other than catty deflection?

Pretty much his go to. Next he'll post something about all the games/NC's they've won. Complains about wanting serious conversation, but when he gets it, he deflects and/or plays the victim card.

One person knows but we have hundreds of exerts and psychics on this thread! You appear to be one of them.

So if one person knows, and I assume by one person you mean Nick, then why do you keep telling us about it then?

While that can be annoying it is also legal, hell teams line up all the time on 4th down and sometimes just stand there to get a penalty for better kicking advantage, or they'll get to the line and shift around, call a fake count or whatever trying to draw the defense offside to pick up a cheap first down. But without a huddle or substitution it is the only way to get the play in from the OC, of course they could go "old school" and let the QB call the plays again. Nah, that'll never happen.

The things you mention are just about keeping the other team on it's toes and is situational.

The reason they go to the line right away is to prevent the team from substituting and it's pretty much full time, unless they themselves want to substitute.

I'd love to see some old school QB play.

Maybe becaue he said it! It is everyone else who seems to post all his hidden agenda and how he doesn't give a shit about player safety, only to hinder HUNH. I have not gotten in Saban's mind. I have stated what he said. But like most on here comprehension is not a strong point which I'm about to point out again.

How the hell is this deflection? I stay on subject more than 90% of poster on here including you who might be the flip side of that coin. Before you come back with some cute remark how is my post deflection? We are talking about Saban. Posters like you have made your own conclusions based on assumptions and pretending you know Saban beter than Saban knows Saban. I pointed it out. BTW, most the Alabama fans have tried in one form or fashion to do that throughout all these threads. Again, comprehension is a very weak point on these boards! It appears to anyone with intelligence that anyone can bash Saban and it's fine but if an Alabama fan defends him he is deflecting or playing a victim card!

Let me ask you a question. Why do you just try to start shit? The majority of ALL my posts are defending Alabama, which leads the idiots to say I play a victim card? Huge difference in playing a victim card and standing up for your program like most people would do, I just tend to put someone in their place and they get their little feeling hurts and resort to posts like yours or they get personal. Which will be next for you?

Shane, as a Bama fan, I'll try to give you my take.

It is common sense that more plays equals more opportunities to get hurt.

This was a year when rule changes had to be about player safety.

With that said, yes, I believe Saban had ulterior motives, designed to favor his style of play. When he first started talking about it, he questioned whether this was where we want college football to migrate to, or not.

You can bet your last dollar, that he is developing a defense to slow this style of play down.

iA good coach will do everything in their power to win games, including possible rule changes to attain that goal. I commend Saban for that.

You can call it whining if you want. I consider it to be an open discussion of whether we the fans, players, and coaches, want an "arena football", or "old school football" approach to the game.

I could really care less, as I know whichever way it goes, my team will be in the mix.

Yes, he should start like 10 threads on the subject to show how much he isn't whining about the rule.

What rule? :dhd:

The one you guys have been whining about for the past 2 weeks. waaaa, Saban is tryign to get rules passed that benefit hmm. waaa, Saban doesn't care about injuries. waaa, my team runs the HUNH, he's trying to beat us with rules.

Of course, it's always the same story. When you agree with it, it's not whining, it's a valid point. When you disagree with it, then it's whining.

Funny how that works.

Yeah. The canes run the hunh

Breaking: saban requested an audience with the ncaa today in order to discuss how it is unsafe for his players to allow the opposition to score more points than his team. He claims "if I could just bench my starters at halftime with a big lead all injuries will be cut in half."

You seem kinda desperate at this point.

Stanford too even though they don't call it Crimson.

Doesn't count if you don't call it crimson; otherwise, then we'd have Stanford, Nebraska, Wisconsin, etc. --- benefiting so many teams Saban would never have proposed the rule.

Yeah, but they've got this:

... so that may well rule out such a benefit for them.

I'm a Stanford fan, the tree is awesome.

Or as Mamba calls me, .2 of a Stanford fan.
