Best Horror Movies You've Ever Seen

Sonny, are you in the Seattle area?

This is weird, but I was just thinking...several of my favorites were made in the Pacific Northwest, at least in part.

The Ring was set in Washington...and they did a pretty amazing job of making the area look spooky. Phantasm was set in Oregon, if memory serves. And the exterior shots of the hotel in The Shining were really the Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood.

And what's really funny is that the PNW is my favorite region...beautiful, not scary. But you'd never know that from those movies.

Yeah, I live in Seattle.

The weather and the desolate wooded areas certainly can make for a creepy feel on film. I really like the scenes in The Ring where she goes to the island. It's so dark and creepy, even though it's probably shot in the afternoon.

Yep, The Shining not as much, but still a good one. And Misery was pretty scary in the fact of the situation and plot (nowhere to go)---good flicks!

Wait...I don't wanna go back....which movie do you like better than The Shining? Cuz that's like a Top 10 or 15 flick of any category, for me?

What the hell were they thinking in Halloween 3? I watched it and caught my first nude scene so there's that.

I've always felt that the biggest problem with Halloween 3 is that it was called Halloween. Had it just been Season of the Witch or something else I think it could have stood up on it's own. Or no one would remember it at all.

Tony Todd was in the remake of Night, Ving Rhames was in the remake of Dawn.

Have to agree. The Ring was freaky, the special effects and scenery were awesome but the plot was God awful
