Broncos Win. Everyone goes nuts. - YouTube

This game was one of those you will remember where you were when it happened kind of games. I just about caused a bartender to drop a box of glasses that he had just cleaned and caused my wife to scream to terror not expecting me to go so crazy.

Great win over the Steelers.

Too much Tebow for me in that video, though.

I celebrated more than the people in the video when we signed Manning.

I knew Tebows days were numbered.

Yeah I agree with that but can't deny it was a great moment in Bronco history. When we signed Manning I definitely did the same thing of celebrating possibly more than even that playoff victory. I couldn't believe one of the great legends of the game was choosing Denver to finish his career!

I guess after the dry spell we had, hosting a wild card game and advancing to the divisional round was more than welcome.

But my expectations are jaded from the success of the past.

I'll admit it. Nothing short of getting back to the Superbowl and winning would prevent me from feeling that we came up short of the expectations for the organization.

Just my opinion.

Success can be measure in steps, sure. But the Ultimate Goal is what we want.

Right?

I agree...Just thinking though the year before we had our worst season in franchise history, had the franchise name drug through the dirt by McDaniels, and had become almost a media circus at the time with Tebow. Now yes the media circus didn't go away but to see our franchise go from that to winning a playoff game was pretty darn rewarding. Not on the level of when we won our Super Bowls obviously but still a great redeeming moment in Bronco history. Honestly I just did not see our franchise recovering so quickly from where we had found ourselves. Elway and company have done a ridiculous job of getting this franchise back to where it belongs. How he hasn't won executive of the year yet is just criminal in my book.

Now to this season yes anything short of a Super Bowl will be at least a little disappointing. I will say with all that this team has gone through this year though I am proud of the team that I cheer for. Just think we have half the defense on IR, missing our All-Pro Left Tackle, missing our starting Center just on the injury side of things. Then before the season started we had two of our FO guys get arrested then the whole Von Miller fiasco. Then we had the Dumervil fiasco. During the season having our coach go down with injury. Yet here we are possibly in position to compete for a Super Bowl and still considered one of the top 4 teams even with all of that.

Elway definitely has turned things around very quickly and while most fans give him credit, the media still largely ignores the job he has done and barely mentions it, preferring to talk about Tebow the first year of Elways tenure and then Manning of course since then.

He probably prefers it that way.

Oh I am sure he does. I'm sure what he cares about is the fans and what they think of him and well right now I don't know if his legend has ever been any higher than it is right now. To me I look at this team this year and without the moves this FO made we wouldn't have even won the division this season. Maybe made the playoffs because of Peyton being on the team but look at the guys who have been key to our team...

Terrance Knighton, Wes Welker, Louis Vasquez, Shaun Phillips, DRC, and even some other under the radar signings like Mincey here late in the season that played huge for us last game. All of those guys have had huge impacts on our season and Elway is at the front of each and every one of those signings.

Very astute observations. I think more than what the fans think if him, he doesn't want to disappoint the collective whole. Pat Bowlen, the team and coaching staff, the city of Denver and Broncos fans everywhere.

We are so lucky we have an owner and executive who put winning and pride above profits because they know if they invest in the organization and put a winning product on the field, the money will follow.

How many prime-time games did we have this season? 6 or 7? More than any other team in the league if I'm not mistaken
