The line is now a solid -3.5 to Seattle, but it is still early money.
The over/under has crept up to 39 - 39.5. If it hits 41 I may hit that under.

:laugh3: Wilson dresses and speaks like an adult and people call him fake.

Kraep wears other NFL team's hats and dresses and speaks like a thug and you guys couldn't care less. I don't blame you for taking your guy's side, but to call Wilson fake for just being a normal person is fucking stupid

Completely agree. Wilson is a pro in every sense. Kaep on the other hand is just learning how to handle fame.

Hard to hate Russell Wilson. He conducts himself like a professional that has been doing this for years. He may be boring, but he's paid to play football, not entertain us off the field. Both these teams have a slew of knuckleheads on each side, but RW stands out as a seemingly classy guy.

On Boldin...don't bother trying to get in this guys head, he's tough as nails. You're best approach is probably to just say nothing.

Was expecting more trash talk on the boards. This is SF v SEA right? Come on guys!

I think both sides respect the other team and are equally nervous/anxious about the game.

I am a long time lurker on the 49ers board, and very rarely post anything, but have to say that I am pleasantly surprised by the lack of dumb trash talk. Understanding there are a few bad apples in every fan base, the cocky/overconfident niner and Seahawks fans are ignored easily enough. I have never visited the Seahawks board before this week and have to say that I have enjoyed reading the posts. I think you make a valid point in that both fan bases, while confident in their team, are likely equally nervous.

I agree about Boldin, the only way to rattle this guy is a solid shoulder hit to the chest to break up the pass.

no pregame trash talk can ever match the aftershock of the NFC title gm... some on both sides are willing to stay classy n respectful but 7-8 months(?) til gm 1 of the new season is an awful long time for some to stay quiet...

besides, both sides are trying to engage in discussion at acceptable levels

or we all be nervous n trying to play the karma card

I think both fanbases believe these are the best two teams this season, so it sucks that one cannot get to the big game. Seattle fans are nervous because the offense has not performed as well as we would like lately and SF fans are concerned about their recent history in the Clink since the Hawks have put 71 points up on their defense the last two games.

There are interesting storylines with Crabs being back and the SF offense ticking, and then whether Harvin and KJ Wright will play for the Hawks on Sunday. Both teams are just about at full strength, minus a couple pieces on either side.

While I'm expecting this to be a close game, I'm guessing 20 to 17 Hawks, I did have a dream last night where we won 42 to 17.

It seems like among the ESPN pundits San Francisco is the sexy pick. Both Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith picked the 49ers.

I believe they picked them as well in week 2. I know it's two different teams now but just sayin....

They both picked the 9ers for the Super Bowl at the beginning of the year is why. The rest of the ESPN guys favor the Seahawks 9-5.

The intriguing aspect in this game to me will be the clutch vs clutch factor. Wilson and the defense have been clutch all year but lately the 9ers have been really clutch in the past few games.

So it'll be interesting to see who out clutches who in this matchup.

I think lucky would be a better word than clutch. Kaep threw 3 INT's to the Panthers, they just didn't catch them. He also threw an INT that would have probably sealed the game for GB, but their CB couldn't pull it in. Playing against the best secondary in the league will have an even smaller margin of error for Kaep and I am not sure he is up to the challenge.

That's funny because I don't recall 3 times that kap almost threw INTs.

You weren't watching the same game then. Even the commentators were talking about it especially after the 2nd drop. 2 of them were right in the hands/chest of the defender and they simply didn't hold onto it. One would have been a great catch, but probably not a high probability reception for average defenders.

On that same note, Seattle dropped every one of their chances at picks last week as well. I mean it was different because the ball was crazy wet in our game and those winds made it hard for anyone to catch a ball, but still. It was the second game in a row where a collision between 2 or more defenders prevented a pick.

:agree: I just watched the SF vs CAR game again last night and Hawk is right, two were easy INT's that just didn't get caught and the third was a little tougher, but should have been caught too. Kaep got bailed out by his receivers more than once too, when he threw high or behind the receivers and they still made the catch.

The one in GB should have knocked SF out of the playoffs, but Kaep was lucky again and eventually that luck will run out...or at least I hope it will.

I'm not going to say there hasn't been luck involved but being lucky is just part of the game. The Seahawks themselves have had some pretty favorable luck in some situations that have helped them win games.

But Kap did engineer the drive at the end of the half of the Carolina game that really swung momentum in the team's favor.

And that's the kind of clutch I'm talking about. I can pick lots of plays that Kap could've done better but when the team has needed the plays most as of late he's been up to the task.

On the flipside the same could be said for Wilson. There were plenty of plays he probably wishes he had back against the Saints but when he really had to make a play he made the play. He's had games with terrible stats but he got it done in the key moments and you guys won.

But it's just not Kap either. Gore has come up with some huge runs in big moments and the defense has made key stops when it was needed.
