Not official yet, but the players had a meeting this afternoon, and after that meeting one of the players told a friend of mine that Kiffin was going to be the new OC. I'm assuming the meeting was to tell them who the new hire was...idk.

He also told me that some of our players really didn't like Nuss, and they were happy to see him leave.

Except he's proven he has talent as an OC, QB coach and especially recruiter. If it happens it may very well not work out, but it's not like he's incapable of being a good OC at Bama. There's a good chance he could serve Saban well. He's already taken a big hit to his ego getting fired by USC, this could be a good opportunity for him to put his head down and try to prove he's good for something. If not, he'll be gone and Saban will find somebody else...... and the world keeps on spinning.

I think 'Bama fans will be pleased with the job he does as your OC. If what I've been told is true, 'Bama doesn't allow assistants to talk to the press, so the problem of him running his fool mouth is solved.


Combine the OL talent that 'Bama always has, with type of skill position players that Kiffin can recruit and you should have a very dangerous offense.

That is indeed true. Other than on special occasions, the assistants don't speak to the media. If an assistant does, it's usually Kirby Smart. Just what Kiffin needs.
