I'm definitely not a "jersey wearer." I cringe every time I see a grown man in one. Don't get me started on the face paint....dear lord...

"Fan" is short for "Fanatic".

Doesn't sound like you are one.

Why not? They record that angle already. Wouldn't be terrible to have a second channel have the same audio feed and everything else, but replace the action feed with a decent one.

Not enough time in the broadcast to show all those angles. they can barely cue up the instant replay between plays now unless there is a timeout or injury.

Gotta have those commercials.

I'm not an idiot. I'm a grown up.

If you say so.

To each his own. Personally I don't see anything wring with wearing a jersey of your favorite player an millions of other fans agree.

You are in the minority.

To insinuate the majority of fans are idiots and not "grown ups" just because they wear a jersey is elitist and arrogant.

I'm talking replacing the action feed, which is terrible. It wouldn't be difficult to get a deal done to broadcast both versions with everything else the same. Kind of like SAP but with picture.

How does wearing a jersey make you a child? I wear jerseys to every game. You really think there is something wrong with that?

The Packers made a change for season ticket holders this year when it came to playoff tickets compared to previous years. This year the season ticket holders were invoiced for playoff tickets in November. They were required to pay for playoff tickets for 2 games even if there was only one so that the Packers would not have to put tickets up for sale a second time if by chance there was a second home playoff game. If a person had 4 tickets this would be anywhere from $800 to $1000.

Now in past years if the Packers would not make the playoffs the Packers would refund the money to the season ticket holders. This year they changed it where they were not going to refund the playoff ticket money that would have been sent in for those to games but they would apply the money to the next years cost of season tickets. Usually the money for season tickets is due in May of the following year. This next year the Packers want the money in during the month of March.

With these changes of not being able to have your ticket money refunded if there was no games and at the time of invoicing getting their ass kicked on Thanksgiving day and not knowing if Rodgers would play again the playoffs did not look good for the Packers and with the changes the Packers made with not giving refunds it makes sense why season ticket holders did not just jump up and buy their tickets.

Now that it has been made aware that there are tickets available yesterday the 75,000 people on the waiting list can buy up what was not taken by the season ticket holders. It will be sold out.

Wow, that is a shitty and greedy ass rule change so they can get their money in advance. I don't blame the fans for not buying the tickets in advance.

That said, I just check and was able to purchase a ticket in section 112 row 40 for $112. So they still have seats left which is surprising.

And? Prices of all entertainment has risen pretty similarly. $100 for a ticket is nothing.

I agree. I paid $100 just to see Wicked from the balcony last month. What a ripoff!

Don't they already offer something similar? You can get enhanced online game coverage I thought.

Honestly, I am fine watching the game feed on TV and being able to pause/rewind on DVR and tablet on game feed for stats.

Anything else would be a distraction.

With NBC you have extra options. Most games you can't.

I don't want anything extra. I just want to actually see the game.

Your team has a mere 8ish years of consecutive sellouts. Not historically a great fan base. Just sayin'.

And your team hasn't sold out their playoff game yet because they're underdogs and it's cold out. Not currently a great fan base. Just sayin'.

Sonny....no doubt your team has a great fan base over the past decade give or take a couple of years. But c'mon man, you know the Seahawks fan base historically doesn't even touch Green Bay.

Oh yeah, I agree. That's why I said currently. Maybe their history makes up for a bit of current fair-weatherness, or maybe it doesn't.

If the Seahawks snuck in to the playoffs in dramatic fashion the way that GB did this year, those tix would be gone quick. It seems a lot of GB fans feel like if they're not favorites, they dont even want to waste their time and money.

No, they don't.

Even the Steelers fan base doesn't touch Green Bay's. We've sold out every home game since 1972 I think and if I'm correct GB is about 20 years ahead of that.

Good post. It explains the reason why there are tickets still up for sale in GB. I'm sure all the playoffs teams will sell out.

They have been doing a consensus poll every year since 2007 for which NFL teams are most popular. Hate to say it but every year the Cowboys have won it by a wide margin.

This thread is about selling out playoff games.
Stop the derail.
