Oh because the pacers "fans" aren't obsessed with the Heat?

the joke here is all the people on this board who aren't Miami fans are swearing the pacers will beat Miami in the playoffs this year. all the talking heads on ESPN are agreeing. Reminds me a little of the last two years.. in 2011 it was indy, then boston and then the thunder.. last year it was indy then the spurs. this year it is indy..

if were not supposed to be worried about indy.. who in the east should we focus on? no one?

I don't know why. I disagree that it's the entire sports world. It seems to be a lot of LA. Spurs fans don't seem to give two shits about Miami before last years finals. Same with thunder fans. in fact I would argue most NBA fans of western conference teams not names the lakers don't have any strong feelings one way or another about Miami.

If it is the 2011 party... if they hatred is still there 3 years later... okay. in 2011 that was still relevant. but not anymore. at least not for most fans. and if that is honestly why.. then good. I loved that party. my only regret is it wasn't bigger.

There arent many Spurs or OKC fans around. They never say much anyways, but he's right; the entire world of pro sports don't care for the Heat. Unless you are a Heat fan, then I guarantee you that any team they face, everyone(99.9%) is cheering for that team to win, and not Miami.

You're wrong and you know it. I've been fairly ambivalent to the Heat (mainly cause I hate Boston and like Lebron, Riley and McAdoo) but there is no team more universally disrespected than the Heat. It all started with the "taking my talents to SoBe" then the championship celebration before the first practice and then the "fans" leaving early, etc.

It's so much fun to watch the preoccupation Heat "fans" have with the Pacers too. It's making a real Pacers fan out of me and allot of others. :D

Mavs fans don't have any disrespect for the Heat anymore. I mean, we clown stomped them when we met and it mattered, so...Yeah, were good!

see were good. we got 2006.. you got 2011. no hatred between the two fan bases.

The Heat and Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals would be a dream series for basketball lovers. Let's all hope that happens. It will be very, very interesting to see if the experience of the Heat can overcome what Indy has put together. I hope it happens and don't see any reason why it shouldn't.

fans leave early all the time.. were the expected to wait around and watch the spurs celebrate?

look at all the pats fans that took off vs the saints this year.. yet because it is boston, that's not talked about. most of the hatred towards Miami is jealousy. made cause we got LeBron. made because we threw a party for no reason. that's Miami. that's just what happens.

again, I ask, if Miami isn't supposed to preoccupied with the pacers.. who should we be worried about in the east? no one? the hawks?

the only way I see it not happening is injury or somehow the nets figuring it out late in the season. the talent that is on that nets team is off the chart.. but giving it to a rookie coach may be one of those all time bad organizational decisions.

Dude, the Heat came back and won the game while the "fans" were outside rioting and banging on the doors to be let back in. :L

Well considering the problems you had with attendance you had last year and the amount cocky ass pacer fans I see now ... Yup I can assume that some fans are bamdwagon.

Even if you could find them, at least they would cheer for Indy, and not one player, most likely. But in all seriousness, I haven't met a Pacer bandwagoner yet. I have met people that cheer for Indy to beat the Heat and have another team they cheer for, though, in the Western Conference. Shit like that. But the amount of Heat bandwagoners and LeBron lovers is sickening, and you know it.

I'm worried about injury. Hibbert goes down and they're toast.

Okay, so you'd say the event in the Finals with the "fans" leaving en masse was commonplace? :noidea:

You have never met a bandwagon Pacer fan? How would you even know? How do you know that you have met a bandwagon heat fan? Is it based on their registration date on a sports site?

Too be honest, I could see why Lakers fans hate the Heat and there fans. I honestly can't say I blame them either. I moved to Orlando in 2008, but before that I lived in Homestead (about 20 minutes South of Miami). I remember during our mediocre years in the early 2000's, there was never a day I had to worry about getting tickets early for a game with the possibility of the game being sold out. The Miami fanbase in general is a bandwagon fanbase. If it ain't winning, we ain't showing up is the motto.

Unfortunately you still have fans that continue to bitch about this team (go on the Heat board and you'll see one douche in particular). Yet this team is primed to contend for a 4th straight finals trip. I also believe in fan loyalty. I commend those who still stick by the Lakers during their "down" years at the moment. When they eventually get back to where they were it will make the moment that much sweeter for them.

But I get annoyed when I see posters on here talk shit when they're fans of the Spurs, Heat, Thunder and Pacers. The argument that you cheer on teams that can run their organizations effectively is a pussy ass excuse - just say you're a bandwagon and own up to it. I cheer for my Miami teams through thick an thin. I've had people in Orlando call me a bandwagon Heat fan, fuck em. There isn't a bandwagon bone in my body. I've been cheering on the Dolphins since the late 80's when I was a kid, that should say all you need to know about me as a fan.

On another note, the Pacers do concern me, yes. There's no debating that. That team has taken the Heat to the limit the last two years and it will go 7 games again this year. I said it at the beginning of the year and the results through the first two months of the season back up what I said - Chicago and Brooklyn don't concern me. Indiana's size is definitely formidable against the Heat's biggest weakness - dealing with size. Should make for another class conference finals.

Way to pigeon hole, so that you really are a clever one.

I am anything but cocky, I think the pacers are a great team and wish them well. I don't feel the need to bash other teams endlessly and make shit up like you do.

I quoted you, now you're attributing what you said to me?
