OT Will anyone watch the World Series?

The media here in the States made a big deal about the Titans vs Jaguars game beating the Yankees vs Rangers playoff game in the ratings game.

Now that we know the Giants will play the Rangers in the World Series how bad of a matchup is this for ratings? How much does it hurt baseball that the World Series will be going on in November?

I'll be honest I'd rather watch a hockey game than a baseball game that doesn't involve my team. What say you?

Since I am a Giants fan I will be watching the entire series.

But for the years that the Giants are not in the series I will catch the highlights on Sportcenter.

for me, not appointment viewing ... baseball has really fallen off my radar ... even if it was big market v big market I doubt i would have watched every inning of every game like i used to

a series deciding game ill watch, game 4,5,6 or ,7. but thats about it, only if the world series win is there. id like to see texas win, only cause they never won a playoff series before this, and they dethroned the yanks.

Nah.. I said this in some other thread some where... one of the stupidest sporting moments I have had recently was in early October, when flipping thru the DirecTV guide, I saw on TBS, I think, a listing for MLB. My first thought was, wow, pre-season is starting early this year... then I remembered the name of Mr.October and realized that playoffs started.

I watch the World Series every year regardless of who is playing (although I must admit, my interest lessens if the Yankees are in it and it's almost negligible if it's looking like the Yankees are gonna win it).

I'll watch, and when the Canucks play, I'll flip to the Series during their commercials and intermissions. But that's only for potential Game 5 or 7 I'd flip.

The Rangers pitching staff isn't too shabby either & their lineup is loaded compared to the Giants.
