Edelman did this last year, too, despite having to compete with a much better cast of receivers, til he got hurt. He is a seriously good WR, as I've been saying all along.

I have been more and more impressed with him, when called upon he always performs, he is fearless, quick and very agile, a very nice weapon in the arsenal.

He may have the potential to be the best, but Edellman gets my vote right now.

Seriously dependable.

This was edelmans best game in a while this season... But then again he had a great game week one and that was with amendola and vereen... maybe he plays better with those 2 players since they have similar roles, and defenses might have trouble with 3 of them...

The drops early were chemistry/nerves. He has the best hands on the team after Gronk.

The drops were and are a product of poor catching skills, thats it.

I said it last summer and I still feel it.
This cast of WR's can be a scary bunch if they play together for a few years.
If Danny and Julien stay healthy, and Kenbrell and Aaron reach their potential...just wow.
And Boyce also has major potential with his speed. If he develops, this is an offense that is stacked.
OL should be targeted in draft/FA.

This draft and FA. IMO

1. TE let's get that two TE set working again, get a real athletic TE like Aaron.
2. Center
3. SS
4. OG

Don't care from there maybe take a look at a QB.

TE can't be a priority. We have real needs.

How do you make a position you have the best in the game at and better depth than most teams a priority when you have several positions that are legitimately weak? That's absurdity at its finest.

He is bigger, stronger, faster, and has better hands. The chemistry with Brady isn't there yet as it is common knowledge that that takes time to develop, but he is better than any other WR on the team with every measurable part of his skill set.

Better hands than Amendola and Thompkins? That doesn't seem to be the case.

JDM...you can't go by what some college scouts said about him last year when he had some scrub Qb throwing the ball to him.

As of the Dolphins game:

https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2013/10/30/signature-stats-drop-rate/

A special mention to Hopkins who does lead all rookies by virtue of his sure-handedness. That keeps him above Keenan Allen (one drop on 27 catchable balls), while the only other rookies to feature on the list find themselves in the bottom 22. Robert Woods has three drops and 22 catches, while Marlon Brown has the same number of drops and one fewer reception. Neither is as bad as Ace Sanders (20% of catchable balls dropped) or both Tavon Austin and Kenbrell Thompkins who are hovering around the 14% mark. Of course neither is as bad as Aaron Dobson who, with eight drops and 26 catches, has the second-worst catch rate of all receivers. Poor Tom Terrific.

Bottom line...he has to perform better.

I already said the drops were chemistry. Half the balls weren't where you needed to be, the other half he wasn't expecting where they were. This does not mean his hands are not stellar. It means that a lot of balls were forced to him to teach him a very complicated offense.

Thompkins has had mostly easy underneath throws. Dobson has been down the field because this is the part of the offense they needed him to learn. You can't compare catch rates when there were multiple "drops" he had no business getting a hand on.

LOL! As of the Fins game he had the 2nd worst drop rate among all WRs despite having arguably the GOAT Qb throwing to him.

I heard more than one talking head referring to him on TV as Aaron Dropson.

We do not have any real depth at the TE position that's a crock not sure where the hell you got that notion from, I guess the same place that convinced you Dobson is the best receiver on the team. When we had Gronk and Aaron the offense was really good, scary some might say. If we can bring in another skilled TE like Aaron with this new crop of potentially good reciver and our stable of RBs this offsense becomes flat out scary all the way around. That is why TE should be a priority but only if the right type TE is there, we do not need another Gronk type. The sure up the O Line to provide extra protection just adds the icing to the cake.

As for the defense we have been addressing that quite a bit the last few years, to many young guys to just go out and get more, some are starting to show real potential. I could see the need for a DE opposite Jones, But if Wilfork comes back and Kelly and Armestead I can't see D Line as a real priority. Collins is starting to figure it out, rather than draft a cover type LB I would like to pick up a vet.

My bottom line by taking the right TE and securing the O Line this team will score enough points that the D becomes a lesser priority. And please remember with all the darn injuries they have been good enough. TE IMO would be a great early choice for the Pats.

Brady had no other weapons. He forced him throws continuously that he had no business catching. If you look drop by drop, there were one of two bad ones due to nerves. The rest were missed timings and inaccurate throws.

Okay thats just funny.

All he has to do is stop catching the ball with his body. Someone pointed out early lots and lots of time on the Juggs machine.

I'll add....he's not at practice today so that's more than likely the reason why he got a DNP in the 2nd half of the Broncos game.
