I wish I was there... tzill you lucky bastard.

It was a great one. Not as great as the Timmy game vs. the Braves, but I'm not complaining. Headed out there on Thursday night too -- so you can all eat your fucking hearts out!!

I'm gonna watch the game on TiVo now, to see what the idiots were saying. Was talking to a philth fan in my section who said that Manuel has already said Blanton is starting tomorrow.

One highlight: After we went up 1-0, philthfan started chanting/mocking "Auuuuub -reeeeee." Huff Daddy comes through and I screamed at him "Chant UUUU, I fucking DARE you!" Pretty good guy, but he had to be pwned there.

My section went nuts on that one. Philthfan was quiet the rest of the way.

So, I'm about seven hours too late (getting the tivo replay)

Just noticing Renteria's deke on Victorino as he stole second in the 5th inning. Rent left his glove on Victorino, distracting him from noticing that the ball went into centerfield..

Small detail in a big big win for the Giants, but I like that kind of savvy stuff.

Yeah. That was good. Good back up by Rowand too.

Yep. It's from Jesus Camp.

Have you seen the film? The speaking in tongues stuff -- horrific shit.

On another note, I watched the TiVo'd game...this just in: the Giants STILL win 3-0.

Then, I cued up Ken Burns' "Tenth Inning." Brilliant, as Burns always is. However, the 2002 World Series stuff has me depressed. And my Giants just won a defining game in the NLCS. Eight years later and I'm still depressed.

Maybe I'm just fear-eyed and panicky. Or is it overconfidence? So confusing...

I had to watch the game on DVR today, so I was about 3 or 4 hours behind all of you guys, but it was still sweet as hell to see our boys go up 2-1.

The one play that really got my eye, and I am surprised that isnt any talk about it here, was the SB where Posey threw it into the OF.

I think Rent made a GREAT play on that one. Sure, he missed the ball, but he ACTED like he had the ball, which kept Victorino from going to 3rd. No mention of that by the professional announcers, either...

+1

Fox baseball announcers have always sucked with Joe Suck the worst of them.

It goes without saying that Nolan thinks Joe Buck is 'one of the best in the business' (his words)

McCarver correctly predicts the bunt - now giving bunting advice.

I was all set to rag on McCarver for thinking he could give bunting advice to a guy like Sanchez but I looked it up on baseball-reference and McCarver actually was an outstanding bunter (35 SH in 38 attempts = 92% compared to 77% league average). So I guess that's something he actually does know something about.

He's still a fucking windbag though.

Some superb trolling courtesy of the master, Nolan:

What the heck has happened to Posey's throws to Second Base? Good gracoius, he can't hit or throw anymore. He's had a lot of rest, he can't be tired.

That was the lamest game thread ever over there. Nolan talking to just one other guy, bashing Posey the whole time, and nobody else taking the bait.

McCarver giving pitching advice now - "throw it threw the hitter to the catcher"...

Ergo my windbag comment. And was that the one he repeated for emphasis or was that another cliche? They all just meld together after a while.

Can anyone help me process how to feel about Bengie Molina's Rangers poised to win the AL, thanks in a large portion to him?

And how that could be our opponent if we continue to do well and get lucky vs the Phillies?
