This is the kind of shit I'm talking about. Apparently there are 27 QB's in the NFL that would try to play through a torn groin muscle.
That's right (and it really is a torn vulva). See Favre, Brett for an example of what a tough QB should be. Try a 20-year-old guy with a dislocated shoulder coming back into a game to throw the winning TD (Nov 29, 2009). That's a real QB, not a douchebag like Quitler.

I get that he's your boy, but there really are 25 QBs in the league I'd rather have on my team today than Jay Cutler. Seriously. Only a few have better arms (starting with Stafford, Matthew), but I loathe and always have loathed his decision making, cream-puff toughness, arrogance, and selfishness.

Sorry if it hurts, but he really does suck.

So you loathe your coach, then?

Most Lions fans do actually.

For reals? Well, maybe I misjudged y'all.

I used to really like the LIons back in the day....Barry is the GOAT. LOVED to watch him play, and the dignity he brought with him. Feel that way about CJ too. But, man...I haven't disliked a coach this much since Forrest Gregg. Something about him just eats at me?

I feel the same way about Jim Harbaugh and I am a Michigan apologist! The guy and his smarmy bullshit just makes me want to puke! I would have gave Schwartz more credit if he would have punched him after there handshake fiasco!

I do have to admit my Mike Martz feelings were similar. Hated the guy! Who the fuck ignores the TE and lets a QB get slaughtered like he did. Was happy as hell when e went to Chicago!

Well it's shit you're always going to have to deal with because Cutler is selfish and a quitter, simple as that.

Checking himself out of the NFC Championship game while he sat and peddled a stationary bike sealed that fate for him. Some guys are gamers who play for love of the game. Some guys play to collect a paycheck and have no sense of team. Cutler falls into the latter category...

Hurt or not, Cutler threw for a higher completion percentage than Stafford yesterday. Yikes.

The funny thing is when the Bears cut her this off season many of the Bears fans that think he is great right now will be glad he is gone and say how letting him go was the right choice.

Stafford threw for 2 more TDs than Cutler did and also won the game, so there's that...

Plus, when you factor out drops and batted passes Stafford's accuracy was every bit as good as Cuntler's.

Not a Martz fan at all. Tho, I think Mike Tice sabotaged him a few times when they were with the Bears....er' at least that's what Olin Kreutz said.

This news coupled with the fact that NFL announced this morning that they are no longer judging teams wins and losses on the final score but instead on QB completion percentage is devastating.

What's the alternative? No way they let him go, without any semblance of a Plan B.

Neither Lions nor Bears fans should hate Martz. They should hate the fact that their respective teams didn't have/build a good enough offensive line to successfully run the offense he was hired to run.

There is absolutely no chance in hell that Cutler gets the franchise tag. Your teams management cannot be that dumb. The likely scenario is they are done with him after this year, clean break. They will bring in a veteran FA and draft a rookie and those 2 + McCown will compete. That veteran could be Cutler I suppose but it will be a short deal and nowhere near the price of tag.

I think he absolutely gets the franchise tag if they can't work out a long-term deal.

I hate Cutler as much as the next Lions fan, and obviously his toughness is up for debate (he's a pussy), but he's also having a good first year in Trestman's system. This is also the first season as a Bear that he's had any decent receiving options besides Marshall.

He's not an elite guy, but he's top-15 material all day (or damn close) so there's no way they let him walk away unless they swing some sort of deal for another veteran starter...

If he doesn't get a long term deal, hopefully he gets franchised. I don't know why he would, but Id love to see it. There aren't many teams who will be searching for an oft injured over thirty QB with a reputation for pouting and selfishness. (Tampa? Cleveland? JVille?)

Sorry, I thought this thread was simply about Cutler sucking, not about team wins in spite of below par QB performances. The stat seemed germane.

Batted passes are worse than incompletions, IMO. They go down, whatever, no big deal. They go up, DeAndre Levy gets an interception in the endzone in the closing minutes of the first half. And they are on the quarterback. But Reggie did drop a couple. CJ didn't, and there were about ten incompletions in his directions.(49 targets in three games....crazy)

I dont see him getting any long term deal at all. The only way he stays in Chicago is on a 2-3 year deal for 16-25 mil. Something like that while they develop their first round pick next year. Cutler has shown the Bears he is not the answer.

They have a new coach, new staff, new o coordinator, new gm and a QB who they didnt bring in who has disappointed them all. Culter looked good initially in Trestman's system but that has faded. The Bears are looking for a QB next year. Cutler is done.

Sub par? He threw for over 200 yards, 3 TD and 1 pick. Thats not a bad game. To expect 400 yards and 5 TD's every week is too much.
