you couldn't be more wrong - alcohol is a legit drug. It creates severe dependency, breaks up families, destroys your body, and kills people. weed makes people eat more fast food and play video games better.

and don't even get me started on how bad tobacco is for your health! notice that you don't see public places banning people from smoking weed in CA, WA, OR, CO, etc. NOT a coincidence, smoking cigarettes is terrible for your body and others around you

I think the point he was making, was that people should have the right to consume what they please as adults.

Also, I'd say the first paragraph is a bit over-dramatic. Yes, at it's worst, alcohol can do those things. However, it's just like anything else... it only destroyed your life because it got there first. Something else would have. The VAST majority of people I know who drink have never had anything like that happen, including myself.

Not illegal in Colorado- but banned in NFL. Don't know why these boneheads think they can get away with this behavior, particularly when the consequences are so severe. This one costs Blackmon a few hundred thousand? As an old hippy from the 70s, weed is a drug that you can put down and abstain from with just a little self control. What an idiot.
