In 2009, they lost to the cowboys at home week 15 and they didnt live it down until the cowboys lost to the vikings while the saints were still alive and in the NFCCG. Now this is the new Dallas game, the game we will not live down until we last past the pats this postseason.

In a way I'm happy we lost. I did not want us to go undefeated for a long period of time to put more pressure on the fellas. The way we lost suck but I prefer to lose 1 game before the halfway mark then go on another run.

We should be 7-1 heading into a tough 4 game stretch ( VS DAL, VS SF, @ ATL, and @ SEA) I say we split those games and are 9-3 entering the final quarter of the season. Seems like a 12-4 season which should be good enough for a bye week

Saints have no run game, that's why they lost and that will keep them from being a Super Bowl contender in the end. Can't win it all with no run game

And what's even more amazing is that they choose to have no run game. And what's even more amazing than that is everyone then pretends like their little system QB is amazing when he throws for a few hundred yards.

Did the Saints not run for over 100 yards in the 2nd half?

You have it backwards. What makes Brees so great is he does what he does with no run support. And yes the Saints try to establish a run game. Watch a Saints game. Payton said he expects 100 rushing yards every game and that is his priority. After all, when the Saints won the Super Bowl, they had a great run game. Look at Brady and Manning, both have top tier run games this year. That takes a lot of pressure off them and makes it much easier for them. Brees on the other hand has a bottom three run game to overcome which makes it much tougher on him

All this talk about the Saints not having a run game but yet they ran for 130 yards on 26 carries against a good defensive team?

Losing on the road against another good team is not a bad thing as long as you're competitive. The Saints proved in their 3 road games this season that they're a complete team. They're not like a Cincy who only plays well at home.

I have no idea but they are 4th worst in NFL with 3 rushing ypc and only avg 78 rush yards per game. The Saints gave Brady three opportunties in the last 3 minutes because the Saints run game did zero in running out the clock in three drives in the final three minutes

It's pretty easy to stop the run when everyone in the building knew they would be running

good point but they threw on 3rd down, and it was a quick pass to a covered WR and it gave NE a free clock stoppage.

It is what it is..Not the end of the world.

These last 2 weeks prove that the Saints are capable of winning on the road in hostile environments in the playoffs.

Actually he's a below-average QB playing in one of the best systems the NFL has ever seen. He got paid though and I respect that.

Right but every other team in that situation would have been able to at least run for one first down in three chances in three minutes to end the game. The Saints run game not being able to do so was one of the worst run game performances in the history of football. And this wasn't a surprise bc the Saints have no run game. It will cost them any chance at a Super Bowl run and Sean Payton knows this more than anybody. He has to be the most frustrated coach in football with the travesty of a run game he is producing as HC/OC. It is embarassing bad and he looks to be in way over his head as a competent coach

I know you hate him bc it makes the Chargers look dumb for not keeping him. But he had a serious shoulder injury nobody thought he would recover from. There is no doubt to sane people that Brees is the the top level of QB that football has ever seen. Only an absolute hater jealous person would think otherwise. Drop the hate and jealous and just enjoy the greatness. He is a one if those once in a lifetime GOAT types. It would be like hating and peeing on Marino his whole career just because you were a jealous butthurt Aikman fan. It is straight childish not to think Brees is one of the GOATs
