Well, we are all better off for such personal and insightful input.

The post where you called the OP a troll and insulted his "football knowledge" because his opinion differed from your own was truly inspiring.

But I thought R.K. was the wizard and architect of this whole thing. If he's so brilliant he should be able to keep this thing going forever. :noidea:

This thread is full of a bunch of bullshit excuses. Wake up, Patriots fans. Injuries happen to every team. Stop using this as a convenient excuse of why you know you won't win a playoff game.

If you would not mind. Since you seem to have a crystal ball for the future. The winning powerball numbers sent to via PM would be really great...Thanks

:laugh3:

Anyone who thinks that Wilfork going down for the season that the Pats wont miss a beat is nuts. Guy is all world.

Will BB find a way..He usually does.

I bet you already regret posting this, it clearly shows you do not know what the hell you are talking about.

Your post from 6am is there for all to see. Would you like to enlighten everyone as to how that post (which is what I was responding to) was "insightful input".

The 6am post is there and it's obviously responding to a troll that has no idea about the Pats or football. While Vince was a key part to the defense to say the gap between him and the next best player clearly shows he does not know what the hell he was talking about and it's an obvious troll failed troll attempt. Would you or he like me to provide a list of players?

As to your post as I stated no one is in denial but the fact that you think we are was a meaningless post because you personal feelings toward Pats fans has no bearing at all on this thread, it's just you being a douche.

Whatever dude. Wilfork is a HUGE loss. Nobody (that I've seen) is saying the Pats can't overcome it, but things did just get substantially more difficult than they were.

Well Dude, the point is we all said Vince was a loss but to imply the gap between him and the next best defensive player is huge was just asinine and trollish Dude. And while I agree they are more difficult whether or not it's substainially remains to be seen.

As a Pats fan I can't tell you how many times we have heard " Oh so and so is hurt / gone Pats are done". The greatneess of a team does not lie in it's starters its lies in the depth of their bench. Good teams win when all the pieces are in place, great teams when the next man up still gets the job done. The Pats have endured injuries and still continue to win, that is not debatable, they will adjust to this loss just as they have losses of the past.

Tough losing Vince. Will hurt, especially against the run...BUT.Pats will find a way...Realize we have a shutdown corner in Talib........BB will come up with some defensive schemes I believe, to take advantage of this; and somehow work it into some run d packages involving Nickovich, among others.
We are far from out of it.

While I dont believe the Pats are out of it becasue of this injury....a NT is one of the most important parts of the defense..Sure you will plug someone in there, and they might do ok...But they will not have the Impact that Wilfork has....LEts face it....No team is going to have 2 Dominate NTs on thier teams....not to the same Caliber as wifork anyway....There is going to be a drop off in the run Defense....the Guy just eats up blokers to let the LBs make the plays

Again in theory you are correct, but let's just see. NE has the #14 Run Defense at this time according to ESPNo stats. Let's see how much worse it gets

Anyway you slice it, losing Wilfork for the season is bad for the Defense and sad for fans. He was heart and soul, besides his amazing play. If BB comes out of this one on top with his fascination for rookies will he reclaim his title as a defensive genius?

Well it looks like he is coaching the D again, this is to say I don't see Patricia doing anything other than standing behind BB on the sidelines when players are being talked to.

Losing him hurts but no one player puts a legitimate team out of contention.

You can dispute whether they are a legitimate contender with him, but I think most would say they were and still are.

Bullshit. Without Brady the Patriots are average at best. The same could be said for NO, Denver, and GB.

But losing Brady does not put them out of contention that is what he said

The Patriots will never be "out of contention" as long as they are the organization they are.....

Not true. If Brady goes down, they are done and he is one player. The same goes for Brees, Manning etc.

What happened a few years ago when Brady did go down? Didn't win a Super Bowl but they still won

Are you comparing this team to the 2007 team? Really? :L

All are close to playoff teams still.

This is a naive post to say the least.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are an equally well run organization. They are "out of contention" (or at least will be very soon).
