How is everyone feeling about Dez? I'm worried about his poor week 1 production and how often that could become an issue, though it looks like the Dallas passing game is in rhythm. I have a potential trade on the table -

I get: Dez and Luck
I give: Reggie Bush, Cam and Antonio Brown

This would leave my likely starting lineup going forward as:

QB: Brees
WR1: Dez
WR2: Edelman/Cecil Shorts
RB1: Jamaal Charles
RB2: Ray Rice
Flex: Gio Bernard

I really have no use for Luck and he's been pretty disappointing. I'm also looking potentially at going after Demaryius Thomas, as his owner has Chris Johnson, Darren Sproles, and nothing else at RB. Thoughts?

I'd do that in a heartbeat. I like Luck and Dez is only going to get better as the season goes. Bush is injury prone, Brown has Big Ben throwing to him (not good this year), and Cam can be streaky.

Looking at your team now, i would make this deal... With edelman shorts and brown as your WR1-2, there will never be a clear cut sit or start, and they are all WR2s at best... You have the depth at RB to sacrifice bush, and he has already missed a game this season, and he has history of missing more... And with brees, you dont need a QB at all...

Would you rather trade Antonio Brown, Cecil Shorts or Julian Edelman in this scenario?

Edelman doesn't have much long term value, but I'm not convinced shorts has any value.

May be making this into a blockbuster. Here is what I'm thinking of offering:

Reggie Bush, Ray Rice, Cam Newton and Cecil Shorts

for

Andrew Luck, Dez Bryant and Matt Forte

This would give me the following starting lineup:

Brees
Charles
Forte
Bryant
A. Brown

I don't know how I could lose moving forward.

Yea, this is the type of trade that the other owner has to look at and say i am making this other team too good...

I should add, his current RB2 is either Darryl Richardson or Leveon Bell. So while he'd lose Dez and Forte, he'd gain two RB1 PPR candidates and the QB that he just so happens to really want in Cam.

I'm in such a pickle. I want to keep all 4 and start them! :gaah:

After your previous trade, this will probably be the position of everyone else in the league.

Change "will probably be" to "should probably be". The one owner is already questionable given the first trade.

I understand the first trade being lopsided, but how is the 2nd trade not at least equal, if not more slanted towards his side?

The trade itself is pretty fair, But you are trading crazy depth for where you are weak at... THere ususally is a point where teams just dont trade with a team because they know any small improvement will make them too good... you are getting a true WR1 for your number 2 RB and 3 RB and you are getting a lesser RB2 back... without this trade your team would still be flawed, with this trade your team is unstoppable...

and sox, not to bash your league, but if the owners are not looking at the teams that they make a trade with before making the trade then you are in a crappy league... Is it fun winning a league because of people's ineptness in trading??

It is still a crapshoot. There's a chance Gio doesn't end up getting the full load in Cincy, which severely hampers his potential. Having Charles and Forte is going to be amazing for me, but look at what this guy is going to have at RB now - instead of an RB1 and another RB who hasn't proven anything running behind a banged up OL, he has 2 bonafide RB1 potential PPR RBs. Yes he's trading Dez, but he also has Andre Johnson and Randall Cobb, so his team now also becomes considerably better.

I can't speak for the rest of them, but I really don't care that much when I'm making a trade about the other team. If it is going to help my team and, in my opinion, put me in a position to win the league, I'm happy. If someone's offering me a way to get out of a huge hole a la not having shit for RB depth, sign me up.

The thing Dez has over the rest of the guys mentioned is his ceiling is infinite. A 7-10 catch 3 TD game is not unrealistic potential for Dez especially if Miles chronic injuries woes continue.

Sounds like he is balking at trading Dez, for good reason. However, he's considering trading me Randall Cobb for Cam and Cecil Shorts. If I made this trade, my roster would look like this going forward -

WR: Cobb, A. Brown, Edelman, Hilton, M. Brown
RB: Charles, Rice, R. Bush, Gio

Should I still look to trade one of the RBs for another WR? I need some insight on A. Brown. I was thrilled with his huge week last week, but I have no idea what to expect from him on a weekly basis. Should I look to deal him and one of the RBs for another big-time WR? Likely not going to get a top tier guy (AJ Green, Julio, Calvin, DT), but I could still get someone else that's pretty good I think.

Thoughts?

I just moved T-Rich and Brown for Calvin, which now gives me Dez and Calvin, so it can be done. I added Brown in to sweeten the deal. I see him as a decent flex play. Miller and Bell back might take away his looks. Why not package Rice an Brown for Calvin(at least see) and a lower tier RB. I could live with JC, Bush, Gio...

The guy that has Calvin also has D. Thomas. I asked about DT and he said he'd need a RB that's guaranteed 16 a week and a WR that's better than James Jones, so I shut those talks down right away. He's being an ass because he is in no way interested in helping me out, and his team is pretty decent the way it is.

I have talks with one of my good friends who is routinely one of the top guys in the league. I'm considering trading him Cam, Shorts, Bush and Gio for Luck, Cobb and Forte. That would give me Charles, Forte and Rice at RB and Cobb and A. Brown at WR. With Brees and Jordan Cameron, I would likely be unstoppable, while he would go from starting Forte and Leveon Bell (PPR league) to starting Bush and Gio to go with Dez and Andre Johnson with Cecil Shorts at the flex (leads the league in targets currently). It would make me the instant favorite barring further injury, but it would also take him from bottom third of the league to being a better contender.

Gotta love these owners!! LOL....No one is guaranteed anything each week..so, ya move on. Do you have depth at RB then? It just seems you are giving up so much in return. If he wants Cam, which I am quessing he does, then he should take Cam and Shorts for Cobb, and that is it.

It's sounding like he may go for that. We're spinning our tires on the one trade because he's trying to sell me on Leveon Bell, whom I have no interest in. I have a ton of depth at RB right now due to a very fortuitous trade, so I'm in no hurry to turn 2 of those RBs into Leveon Bell.
