Rivera bobblehead night an absolute failure

By all accounts, the New York Yankees nailed Mariano Rivera tribute day on Sunday. But Mariano Rivera bobblehead day on Tuesday? Not so much.
According to Deadspin, the New York Daily News and the Twitter masses, the Mo bobbleheads were MIA when gates were supposed to open at Yankee Stadium. The bobbleheads [ame="[MEDIA=twitter]382619548631171072[/MEDIA]"]hadn't arrived[/ame] at the park yet. The throngs of fans waiting outside were forced to wait longer, then eventually just received vouchers.
Talk about seriously derailing someone's selling-bobbleheads-on-eBay schedule. C'mon, Yankees, do you think a voucher is worth $500?
Crucial times like these are when the Yankees have depended on Rivera, baseball's all-time saves leader, the most throughout his career. How about one last save? How close do they keep that jet dedicated to him? Imagine Rivera flying over Yankee Stadium and tossing bobbleheads out to adoring fans, then parachuting to the field while "Enter Sandman" played. Now THAT's a farewell.
