2006-07 Cleveland Cavaliers Roster and Stats | Basketball-Reference.com
The 2006-07 Cavs indeed had the league's 4th-ranked defense that year. That proves the ultimate point that LeBron didn't carry the team on his back to the Finals that year.
While he had a great performance the year in his own right considering his young age and lack of experience, his 41 percent FG% during those Playoffs was not so good for a guy who took so many shots. Mike Brown is a Popovich protegee who preaches defense. Just the presence of big bodies in Gooden and Ilgauskas were enough to be a major factor in Brown's defensive schemes. And most importantly, it helped cover up the liability of LeBron's mediocre FG percentage.
I get it, you're obsessed with LeBron, but let's not ignore the facts here.
I'm going to give you the same lecture I did TLF - In that no every post warrants a response. It really does make you look obsessed on here.
In fact, it still feels like one has to be obsessed with either Kobe or LeBron in order to be fully embraced on this board. Once our fantasy league gets underway, I'll probably go on a significant hiatus to try and get my post average under 3.
