OSU and BAMA owe Bo a fruit basket.
I mean we're so irrelevant that our HC and school name was plastered on the front page of every single sports publication in the country and featured on every major sports network talk show from here to Timbuktu, but no one curr bout measly lil Nebraska.
Tressel
Mangino - OC
Zook - DC
they should be able to take over immediately
Unless the B1G is going to allow NU to recruit illiterate partial qualifiers who can't get into any other school in the country, it's going to be tough for NU to get back to the top. Plus, NU has competition outside of Norman. In the Big 8, NU only had 1 tough game a year; wasn't like that in the Big 12 or B1G.....

TexasExes98. Same drivel. Different board. If he posts the same drivel, then I post my same counter drivel.
Nebraska leads country in Academic All Americans. Texas, with four times the student body, and their "tough" admission standards, routinely ranked either 11th or 12th in the Big 12 for Academic Progress. I can even provide links.
TexasExes98 rules of irrelevance as defined by TexasExes98 in 2009.
1. Lose four games or more per season
2. Relive history to reclaim the glory
3. Rely on others to go bowl games to share the wealth
4. This is a new one, to be the first team to play in the National Championship Game (2009), then go on and have a losing season.
5. Lose more games at home than you lose on the road. In 2010, Texas was 2-5 at home.
6. Have a coach that has won a grand total of TWO Big 12 titles. Hey, that just so happens to be the same amount Nebraska won in the Big 12.
Sort of funny about the competition only being Oklahoma. Let me see, Colorado won a National Championship in 1990.
1971 The Final Top three were 1 Nebraska 2 Oklahoma 3 Colorado
In 1995 the Final rankings were
1. Nebraska 5 Colorado 7 Kansas State 9 Kansas Notice No Oklahoma
Texas has a Heisman Trophy winner, Vince Young, that can only read at the 6th grade level. He scored a SIX on the Wonderlic. Fine Texas edumacation there. Luckily, Vince Young had some very good test takers at Texas.
Shall we talk about Cleve Bryant? He molested several women on the campus of University of Texas. Texas was smart, they paid them all off. Texas Penal Code 22.011.Sexual Assault, a felony in the Second Degree.
What about Simkins Hall at Texas? He was only a leader of the KKK and had a dormitory named after him.
Brittany McCoy, a 20-year-old African-American student from Dallas, said it's time to remove Simkins' name from a place where black students may live.
"I was shocked," to learn of Simkins' connection to the KKK, McCoy said. "Texas is a school that stresses diversity. I know I wouldn't want to stay in that dorm, and wouldn't want my people staying there."
Not everyone thinks Simkins' name should come off.
Typical ignorant teja$ fan. Go look at that '95 sched. The Big 8 had 4, count them 4 final poll top ten teams. Damn you are stupid...
Fire a coach who averages 9 wins a year.
Why not? They fired Frank Solich for going 9-3. It's what they do.
Relevant as in winning?
definitely comparable situation BRO!!!
