Rex Ryan ready to move on from Sanchez

The Daily News has learned that Ryan, Idzik and much of the team's key decision makers are on board with moving on from Mark Sanchez.
Although speculation centered on Ryan's desire to cling to Sanchez, sources told the News that Ryan believes that Smith is the better option if healthy.

I would beg to differ. Young & Leinart are HORRIBLE quarterbacks IMO. Barely 3rd-string material & maybe not even that (especially Leinart).

Phil Simms boy, Matt Simms. He beat out Greg, he looked way more impressive than Greg ever looked. He showed a really nice arm, able to make all the throws on the field and was accurate.

His performance against the Eagles really solidified Greg being released.

Matt went 33/44, 75%, 285 yards behind a leaky OL. He was sacked 7 times that game. Jason Smith was really awful at LT.

Also, they haven't released Graham Harrell yet.

yeah in they are all trash QBs. Geno Smith is going to be starting for the Jets, we'll see how he does.

I thought by "backups to Sanchez" you meant 2nd string.

And there's a big difference between not-great and horrible. I don't think those guys even belong in the league.

Leinart was picked up from the Bills like 2 days before they started him Thursday. I realize he didn't know the offense but has been in the league long enough to do better than 3-10 for 11yds and 2int's he registered Thursday. Then they released him.

He's no better than Tebow and shouldn't even be in the league
