I think at worst they split...too much transition for the Bears this year and Cutler just isnt the guy.

I also think alot the success that the Bears had on defense last year was because of the defensive TDs they scored and you cant bank on that scoring again.

Say what you will, but any division facing the NFC North has to deal with arguably 3 of the league's premier pass rushers in Peppers, Matthews and Allen, plus a Detroit D line that is loaded with talent. It is no pushover going against the D lines in the NFC North.

This is no different than any other season... During preseason the media hypes a few teams (like Dallas, Philadelphia, Giants, Houston, NO) and most fans drink the Kool-Aid they offer. Then at the end of the season, the media is like, "Wow! We never saw that coming!" when teams like Cincinnati or Seattle seemingly come out of no where.

By the end of the season, the media will be saying the same thing about some NFCN teams.

I say the Vikings take the division this year. They're the Bengals of the NFC, who are like the 49ers were when Alex Smith was at the helm. They have a ton of talent but an average QB.

"average" is being very generous and the Vikings are the 4th best team in the Division and a lot of that is because of an "average QB", they are not winning the division. The QB is a very important player for a reason.

Y'know, you're probably right about that. Dalton > Ponder. I had a 5th-round grade on Ponder in the draft.

I still think the Vikings will win the division though. Minnesota is a good place to be right now if you're a QB. Great OL, good WRs, great running game, very good TE. And I trust defenses that can rush the passer really well.
