+1

I have never had issues with buying a car that is used... I'd rather take the money I'd spend on a average new car and buy a great used car...

1976 Camero with a T-top
I paid $600. Older bro sold it to me. The bastard neglected to tell me the T-top leaked so I found this out 3 months later when it rained.

Shit, new car. I can't read

1999: Toyota Camry. About $21 grand

'88 Volkswagon Fox

I want to say that the sticker was in the high 8K range & my 'deal' was low to mid 8K
- but that was a few decades ago, so I'm a bit fuzzy on those details.

1989 Ford Taurus for $9,999. It was a dealer demo with a couple thousand miles...close enough.

"94 Dodge Shadow 2dr bought in late '93. I can't remember the price but it was a magnet for vandals and was rear-ended by the only other car on the road one night. I ended up trading it in after body repaired. It was still 1993 and I won't buy another new car again.

Can't remember. But I remember paying 170-something a month and traded it in on something new and my payments went up to 240 a month. I nearly backed out of it. Back when I was young and stupid enough to think of things in terms of "monthly payments." Now when I look at cars and the salesman asks me how much I want my monthly payment to be I just smile and say "ZERO"

Me either. Not with the way the value plummets when you drive it off the lot

1st 'new' car was a '52 MG-TD. Bought it off a solider that brought it over from England & was being transferred overseas. Price - 800 smackers. Sweet!!

1954 Chevy 3100 Truck, paid $200
Rebuilt the 235 straight six and three on the tree $600
Did the paint and body work myself $1,500
New interior $500

Drove it for six months. Took my dad to a car auction in it and while I was there a guy asked me if it was for sell and I told him no. He said I'll give you 12K for it and I wrote him a bill of sale. Not a bad profit for a 16 year old. Thankfully my dad bought a vehicle at the auction so we had a ride home.

*I just scanned the title, I thought it said 1st vehicle, not 1st new vehicle.*
