The maturity of Wilson is what separates him from most other rookies or "2nd year QB's" Instead of going to the beach wearing his "Swag" he is going to the children's hospital giving out Swag and hope. Him losing his father made him or forced him i should say to grow up much sooner. Its who you become after adversity that defines you and Wilson excelled in that area. Wilson is a family man and this is what makes him the greatest NEW QB in the NFL hands down. He is grounded, mature beyond his years and dedicated to more than just playing football. It's a lifestyle choice and no other new QB right now can compete. Maybe some day.

Why do 49er fans not get it? there is a difference from being out with "family and friends " dressed up in costumes and telling fans " i'm gonna wear what i want to wear REGARDLESS of what YOU THINK" That is not how you respond to your fan base. That's just not a mature way to handle it. It would have been better for him to just tell people he made a fashion mistake and it wouldn't happen again. With that he would have got a few laughs and it would have blown over much quicker, instead he blew it up into a him vs the fans thing. Not smart.

Also read my post please. I never said he was mature because he spent all his time at the Vmac and in the film room. That just makes you a hard worker it does not prove you are mature. You can be very immature and still be a very hard worker.

Question for Seahawks fans, Does it take a mature person to understand what being mature means? if so i think i understand a little better.

Oh look...omg Russell is out partying like Manziel!...yeah not really...he's with his wife and that's golden tate with his girlfriend enjoying halloween like any other normal human being does once a year.

Russell is one of the true great guys in the league. A winner in life.
