IMO I think Wash and Girardi deserve a lot of consideration for manager of the year. Don't know if it will happen but they should definitely be in consideration.

Agree. Girardi gets little to no credit, but he's dealt with a half baked line up all season too. And this is not to mention the day-to-day Broadway play called A-Roid which he has to deal with.

Fine job by both of these guys. It's just Wash has a way of doing it "non traditionally" which makes us all nuts! But, at the end of the season, he usually has a lot more W's than not, which makes us forget some of the truly mind boggling moves he makes!

Like I said. I'll believe it when I see it in a reputable article.

Like I said. In a reputable article. Not on twitter.

This^^^. Anyone who has watched the Rangers the last few years knows Wash is going to stick with what he knows. The interesting thing to me will be where he hits him. I know he is there to replace Cruz' production, but they are different guys, Rios less power but much more speed, which opens up a lot of possibilities

He's already stated that Rios will bat 6th,

Rios is going to bat 6th until he ain't

Martin is going to be a star. I think this year is only the sneak preview. Next year is going to be his break out season. He's not going anywhere.

I wouldn't mind having Cruz back. Yeah, he cheated, but he never claimed innocence, confessed guilt, accepted the penalty, and expressed deep regret. He handled it like a man. He seems to love it in Arlington, and the Rangers might get him back a little cheaper because of his screw up.

I hardly know anything about Rios, but he's an upgrade over Murphy. I don't think Murphy is coming back unless he is OK with being the bench guy.

On "RH nights" when there are only two LH bats in the line up ... Rios might move to 5th. Only reason he's batting 6th now IMO is because with AJ, Moreland, and The Mule in the lineup they have to bat #5, #7 and #9 so they are not back to back.

Rios in his 2012 career year batted 5th. This year when he struggled he batted #3.

Girardi? Only because the Manager of the Year is awarded primarily by east coast media ... because that's where most of the media is.

East coast media or not I think Girardi has done one hell of a job considering the number of injuries he's dealt with and they've still managed to play very very well and competing for a playoff spot.

He does deserve serious consideration. He's done very well with all the injuries they suffered...

Sorry guys, but you can't make me believe that Wash deserves it. His in game decisions are atrocious. He is a fantastic clubhouse guy, and the players love him. That's where it ends

okay so the rule is that no manager should be considered for MOY if you disagree with any of their in-game decision. that means that no manager will be considered
