Giants' Center Jim Cordle just blew Alameda Ta'amu off the line on that last running play. Ta'amu has not been impressive since being drafted IMO.

Well, it was against the Bears...

Can't have too many good DL. Like I said, I'm no drawing conclusions, but seeing a 3rd round pick you cut 2 years ago do something like that on another team can't feel good.[/QUOTE]

I thought it was weird myself, cutting a 3rd round pick after just one season, but is was a terrible season, we started two rookies at DT and they got eaten alive. One, Fua, is still with us. He must have made someone in the front office mad, that's the only thing I could think of. Of course now we have 2 new DT's, either one of which is better now than Mclain. We also have stuck with guys like Thomas Davis who missed almost 3 years with ACL problems and came back great. Also, Armanti Edwards, a guy we traded a 3rd round pick in order to draft. He was a QB in college, we made him a WR/KR. He has caught 5 passes in his career until our 1st preseason game this year and he caught 2, so he might finally be paying off. Thing is, you just never know and the Panthers do not have a history of just giving up on guys.

Edwards looked ok, imo.

Seahawks kicked ass in their opening game. 2nd rounder Michaels looks like a great change of pace RB to compliment BeastMode.

Special teams looked great.

Our D was already playing out of their minds, even our 2nd & 3rd stringers. Cutting all that talent down to a 53 man roster, plus practice squad is going be tough. SF will be monitoring our waiver wire by the nanosecond for any of our DBs, WRs, or anyone else that could provide them with knowledge of our playbook.

everyone already knows the hawks playbook. The ball is hiked to midget Wilson, he runs around in circles 4 or 5 times behind his o-linemen until the opposition loses sight of him...then the ball flies out from some previously unknown location. sometimes it is caught, sometimes it is not. was there anything else ?

I am really glad football is back but.....

The lions went 4-0 in the preseason in 2008. People might want to remember that when they try to make judgments on how well or poorly a team is going to do during the season based on the preseason

Broncos score 10 points and you're talking shit? You are 1 neck from being a laughing-stock...

I just view them as scrimmages. You get to see how well the team is doing with depth, for one thing.

Should be a lot easier to put points up on the pats though...such a shame we cant just play 16 games against them. 1 neck ? surely you can do better than that. unlike the pats, the Bronco's actually have more than one good player.

Looks like Steeler Nation will have to wait another week to see Bell in action... He went down to a "minor" knee injury today. He was seen walking after practice, which is a good sign.

Chargers Oline is just getting obliterated by the Bears. Rivers is going to get sacked a lot this year

Damn, Philly's O is hosing us - just a couple of bonehead turnovers keeping us in the game.

Right that's how the Seahawks won 11 games last year.:bullshit:Seahawks have a great defense, a great running game and when needed Wilson puts the petal to the metal.

Watch and learn.

Re-watching the Eagles - Panthers game. Matt Barkley does not look impressive against the scrubs.

Kevin Kolb just threw a pick. The commentator is saying it's on Goodwin, but It was a really bad throw right to the DB who tipped it up to the safety.

Marcel Dareus showed why he was a top 3 pick right there. Dude just pushed right past the OL & sacked Ponder. That Bills' DL is 1 good pass rusher from being a pretty great unit IMO.

Edit: Someone else said a RB tried to block him. I thought he blew by an OL.
