Might as well have a designated thread for these games.

I'm watchin' the Lions & Jets. Not much interesting yet. Quinton Coples beat Riley Reiff around the edge for a sack.

Panthers - Bears. Cam served a pick 6 and is done for the evening.

Pats - Eagles. Patriots offense looks awsome. Defense mixed bag...

Sanchez made the same mistake he has made so many times over his career... Throwing a INT to a DL for a TD. Come on, its your 5th year and you still haven't learned from that mistake?

After that he looked solid. Our WRs actually look pretty good. Winslow looked good. Cumberland had a wide open TD.

Geno has been meh so far. 5-6, nothing big.

2 of our supposed top 2 RBs aren't playing.

Our starting DL looks good.

Shaun Hill is tearing it up.

14-10 Panzers at the half, despite 3 turnovers. The rookie Kenjon Barner got his arm gently tapped, and coughed one up, but scored a TD to close the half. Derek Anderson had 4 of the worst throws you'll ever see from an NFL QB. On a couple, the DBs were too surprised to catch the ball, another time not so much, lol. Armanti Edwards played well, which is a good sign, Ted Ginn actually caught one over the middle and kept going, lol. Front seven looked really good - we were pressuring the Qbs the whole half.

One thing that is noticeable already is the upgrade at OC we have made. Tony Sparano was a joke. Marty seems to have a solid passing scheme. Some of the plays were nice how they freed up WRs.

From the Niners' preseason thread:

Marquess Wilson, a guy who had no business being there in the 7th round, caught 4 balls for 82 yards for daaaaaaa bearsssss.

Texans' NT Terrell McClain had 2.5 sacks against the Vikes. Not bad for a NT. Knee-jerk question, but are the Panthers kicking themselves?

Seahawks kicked ass in their opening game. 2nd rounder Michaels looks like a great change of pace RB to compliment BeastMode.

Special teams looked great.

Our D was already playing out of their minds, even our 2nd & 3rd stringers. Cutting all that talent down to a 53 man roster, plus practice squad is going be tough. SF will be monitoring our waiver wire by the nanosecond for any of our DBs, WRs, or anyone else that could provide them with knowledge of our playbook.

One thing that was encouraging.

Mark Sanchez, besides that awful pick which was inexcusable. Was 10-13 77%, 125 yards 9.6 YPA 100 QB rating.

Why that is good is that last year he struggled big time in preseason games.

Game 1-4-6, 67%, 21 yards 3.5 YPA 72 QB rating
Game 2- 9-11, 82%, 59 yards 5.4 YPA, 51 QB rating 0 TD 1 INT
Game 3- 11-18 61%, 123 yards 6.8 YPA, 58 QB rating 0 TD 1 INT

Questions, when was he playing, did he start?

Considering that the Panthers D got a total of 7 sacks last night. No, we are not kicking ourselves.

Well, it was against the Bears...

Can't have too many good DL. Like I said, I'm no drawing conclusions, but seeing a 3rd round pick you cut 2 years ago do something like that on another team can't feel good.

Cullen Jenkins is already banged up in the NYG - PIT game. Don't know if it's serious.

...He's fine. Just sacked Roethlisberger in fact.
